CastleCaudebec-en-Caux (76)

In Normandy, 2 hours from Paris, between Rouen and Etretat, this small castle was built in the 18th century.
The main building, built in the Mansard style with walls of brick and stone bonding, has perfectly identical and symmetrical facades, adorned with a large triangular pediment. It rises to a single storey and a second storey under the roof. On either side, two pavilions frame the central body. On this estate of 65 hectares of meadows and 13 hectares of woodland, brick farm buildings have existed since the beginning. The former caretaker's cottage and its annexe have been converted into three dwellings, with a 4th dwelling being converted into a studio flat.
The main building spans a surface area of 590 m² (5,490 sq ft) and comprises a ground floor with spacious reception rooms, an entrance hall, a large kitchen in one pavilion, a lounge, dining room and billiards room in the second pavilion, and two upper floors containing nine bedrooms and five bathrooms.
From the château, there is a panoramic view over the forest and meadows.
The countryside is gently undulating and the setting is perfectly peaceful.
