In the south of the French department of Finistère, near to the sea and the coastal paths bordering the coves with their fine sandy beaches, between two towns with all shops and amenities. This estate is also not far from main road and rail links. Paris can easily be reached by train (15 minutes from a station) and by airplane (daily flights from an airport, 30 minutes away).
A wooded avenue, off a little country lane, runs several hundred metres to the middle of a vast estate, spanning more than 53 hectares, with a 19th century chateau and its outbuildings, comprising a 15th century manor house, a dovecote and a chapel. This property, with woods on more than a third of its surface area, is crossed by a stream flowing from north to south on its west side. The south side is predominantly covered with grasslands. On the west side are a lake and gardens, laid out in varying formations to encourage walking. Numerous alleyways have been created or exposed in order to make it easy to move around the estate.
The chateauThis chateau was constructed from local quarry stone blocks, at the end of the 19th century, on the foundations of an older manor house. Dressed stone was used for the window framing and the quoins. The building spans three levels over cellars and under attic space. It is flanked on the north side by a tower with a candlesnuffer roof. Slate covers all the roofs.
The south-west facade is adorned with a monumental curved pediment with a sculpted tympanum. The windows on either side are topped with triangular pediments. It spans a total living space of almost 950 m².
