EXCLUSIVE. CHATEAU 17th ITS WATER MOAT AND ITS PARK OF 15 HA. At 1h15 from Paris, 20 minutes from Orléans, 30 minutes from the Loiret Airport, on the edge of the Forest of Orléans and the village, the castle is discreetly and withdrawn, in the middle of its park of about 15 ha. The origin of the place dates back to the 13th century. Fighter with King Saint-Louis during a crusade, a local Lord protected the wounded King by covering him with his shield. As a reward he received from the King these places as a "barony". An old feudal mound, where justice was the focus, and which over the centuries became a vast domain going as far as the confines of the present Ile de France, the residence took its final architectural form in the 17th century, with a main building principal and its two side pavilions, covered by a Mansart roof. The North facade is flanked by two round towers, probably remnant of previous constructions. A wrought iron gate of the 17th opens on a central alley in the middle of a meadow. As soon as you cross a wooden bridge spanning the water moat, then a second old wrought iron gate, here is the Cour d'Honneur with rounded and straight geometric lines. The central staircase with its two-flight staircase and its old balustrade look great: we find all the classicism of the time, with its symmetrical compositions, both in terms of exterior decorum and interior. Here, everything is order and sobriety, balance and majesty. The building develops on 3 levels of about 200 m² each a total surface of about 600 m². On the basement floor are, on the one hand (for 100 m²): the kitchen and its scullery, a lounge-library with a direct view of the moat, a relaxation room (sauna and jacuzzi), as well as an office, on the other hand (for 100 m ² approximately): cellars, boiler room, buanderie, various rooms of tidying up and workshop. On the ground floor: the vestibule partly central, distributing on both sides two large living rooms. Then come a dining room, an office, two bedrooms, one with bathroom and toilet, a pantry (old kitchen), a bathroom. toilet. The volumes are generous and resolutely bright thanks to the large windows. Note the remarkable condition of high-rise paneling, some with gilding, trumeau mirrors, Louis XV fireplaces for the most part, Hungarian-point parquet floors. 2 stairs, including a monumental, allow to reach the floor. A bright gallery serves 7 rooms, all paneled, sometimes with alcoves, most of them equipped with private bathrooms / shower rooms. From here is perhaps the best view of the park. Treated largely in the French style, with both local (oak, beech, linden ...) and exotic species, including a remarkable alley of horse chestnut trees (1680), a wide perspective of depth is offered to view. Contrasting with the wooded part of the park, a huge orchard, partially walled and currently fallow, has a well and a wind pump Bollée as old (late 19th) as rare. On the other side of the moat, a large gravelled courtyard decorated with some trees and shrubs, is surrounded by large buildings also of the 17th century and to restore: a first building of 400 sqm on 2 levels, including stables on the ground ground floor and an awning, a barn of about 200 m², kennels, a vaulted vault of country bricks, and two other buildings of about 80 m² each on 2 levels located on both sides of the entrance gate of the property, as well as a double yard. The heating system is recent and efficient (dual heat pump system and oil boiler). Listed as Historic Monuments: the facades and roofs of the castle, the main courtyard, and the moats.
