Ref. 3295 Listed cistercian abbey for sale in Anjou Set at about 20 km Northwest of Angers, the Abbey of Chaloché was raised in the 12th C. In 1683, the conventual buildings were rebuilt. The abbey church did not survive the French Revolution. The abbey house with its two wings and the old abbey church surrounded the cloister. This house of about 600sqm comprises : On the ground floor: 5 rooms of 40sqm each, 2 rooms of 22sqm, a gallery of 60sqm on the North facade and 2 water rooms. On the first floor: led by two stairways, 8 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Above: beautiful attic. The 12th C. barn has unfortunately lost its roof during a fire in 1993. This 62 meter long building provided several functions: agricultural, hospitality and maybe lay people accommodation. Against the barn one can find an old chapel (the magnificent framework survived the fire) and caretaker's house. The wings perpendicular to the house are now used as sheds. 42 acres of park decorated with a pond surround the property. Behind the barn, facing West, a large vegetable garden enclosed by walls. Are registered on the additional inventory of historic monuments, the following parts of the former abbey: The facades and roofs of all the remaining buildings The ground of the old abbey
