In the Anjou region, a property used solely for hosting events, with guest bedrooms in the castle and function rooms in the orangeries.
This property is in the countryside on the outskirts of a market town, with all shops and amenities. Near to large tourist sites, it is set in the midst of the populated urban areas of Nantes and Angers. The A87 is nearby.
A tree-lined driveway leads from the road, surrounded by meadows, to entrance gates, opening on to a courtyard. Around the latter and throughout the parklands, are the castle, the orangeries and the outbuildings. The orangeries were recently constructed on a vast lawn.
The castleAlthough the origins of this castle date back to the 12th century, construction of the actual building took place at a later time. Major renovation works carried out in the last quarter of the 19th century provided real comfort and true modernity, still the case today. It has, however, kept the appearance of the original fortress. In addition to the reception rooms, it comprises two private flats and four guest bedrooms.The outbuildingsThese outbuildings comprise two orangeries, a section of the old tenant farmhouse and another building.
Two recently constructed, adjoining orangeries have been installed in the parklands. Their architecture reflects the “Eiffel” style, featuring a metallic framework, without interior pillars, and numerous glazed openings, letting in copious amounts of light and providing a view over the parklands and the castle. Spanning a floor surface area of approx. 350 m², they are able to seat up to 250 covers.
The old tenant farmhouse awaits renovation. Plans have already been drawn up and a planning permission granted. Its roofing framework and roof is in a good state of repair. Water and electricity are laid on.
And lastly, an amusing building, once used as a kennel and an aviary, could also be renovated and converted (initial thoughts include, for example, the creation of a swimming pool-spa-relaxation area).
The parklandsSpanning a total surface area of almost four hectares, these parklands are composed of vast lawns, planted with trees, some of which are outstanding. A terrace in front of the castle’s main facade looks out over a wide, undulating landscape of extremely pleasant bocage countryside. It is adjoined by a swimming pool.
