  • Rooms 12
  • Bedrooms 5
  • Land 1.8 ha

An entrancing, 19th century manor house and its guest house in some 2 ha of parkland, forest and meadow, 18 km from the seaside.
Paris is 180 km away; Fécamp, 30 km away; Rouen, 45 km away. The Albâtre coast is but 20 km away.
All local shops are 6 km away from this property; the A29 motorway, providing links to the Caux region, is 10 km away.
An 18-hole golf course is some 20 km away.
Cycling enthusiasts will appreciate the 180 km of rural multi-use paths between Tréport and Le-Havre, with unforgettable views at every turn.
Winding country lanes lead from the motorway slip road to this property very much out of sight of onlookers. Its entrance gates open on to a long driveway, going around a lawn, not far from where a magnificent hundred-year-old oak tree takes pride of place, and leading to the manor house facade. Barely visible on one side is a second house as well as a gazebo and an orchard with 30 apple trees. Behind the building are a greenhouse and the start of a forest path, surrounded by tall trees. A terrace, ideal for clement weather, delimits a meadow on the other side of the path.
The manor houseThis house, spanning approx. 500 m² of living space over four levels, was built in the 1850’s.
Its brick facades, supported on stone and flint lower sections, are protected by a slate roof, whilst the two pavilions set at right angles, added during redesigning works, are enhanced with Mansard style roofs.
The top floor features pediment roof dormers, with rounded roofs, as well as an impressive roof dormer, with a triangular pediment. Through openings let in copious amounts of light. The facades are adorned with rectangles, composed of a light-coloured gravel. A curved porch, with four steps, provides access to the inside.
History has it that Victor-Hugo not only stayed here, but also used a study for composing his prose.
Ground floor
The personality of the interior designer, notably the owner, is reflected in each of the rooms on this level. The walls are lined with fine fabrics. All the openings look out over the garden. Fireplaces and ceiling moulding enhance the rooms. Those used for reception purposes intercommunicate. Floors are covered with tiles featuring inlaid decoration or oak wood parquet flooring. A vast vestibule provides access to a dining room, with a monumental fireplace, two lounges, a study, a kitchen, a laundry room and a toilet. It also houses a right-turning stairway, with a wooden handrail and wrought iron railings.
First floor
With a layout almost identical to that of the ground floor, its landing provides access to four bedrooms, each with its own bath or shower room and toilet, as well as to a small room used for storage purposes. This level has oak wood parquet flooring throughout.
Attic
This top floor, featuring an exposed roofing framework, could be used for bedroom or any other purposes. It would be possible to create two bedrooms, with their own shower rooms and toilets.
Cellar
The guest houseThis guest house, spanning a floor surface area of approx. 130 m², has undergone meticulous and tasteful restoration works just like those carried out in the manor house.
The ground floor comprises an entrance hall and a kitchen, fitted with a wood and coal-fired cooker. Floors are tiled.
The first-floor landing provides access to three bedrooms, a shower room and a toilet.
Floors are covered with natural, coconut matting.
The greenhouseThis greenhouse, with its slate roof, is in a good state of repair. The gazeboThis gazebo houses a well. The …
