Castle Avignon (84)
Wine estate with its castle, its park and its swimming pool. This fully restored chateau dating from 1732 is nestled in the middle of 30 hectares of vines, mainly composed of the Syrah and Grenache grape varieties. Once past the imposing portal of the Estate, you will discover at the end of a magnificent alley lined with Mediterranean essences, a majestic building with elegant lines, which unfolds over 3 floors. The noble materials as well as the high ceilings, the hangings, the frescoes and the moldings contribute to the beauty of the place. On the ground floor, there are sumptuous reception rooms that will not leave history lovers indifferent. You will also find on this level the living rooms such as the entrance, the kitchen, the dining rooms as well as the reception rooms. A beautiful stone staircase leads to the first and second floors of the building, where there are six bedrooms, all with private bathrooms decorated with marble and frescoes. The whole decor perfectly retraces the domanial spirit of the place. The building also includes a seventh bedroom completely preserved, whose private access is from the gardens. Two apartments and a caretaker's house complete the property, accessible from a charming paved courtyard on which sits a century-old olive tree. Still other spaces can offer as many possibilities for hosting and receiving events in a unique and enchanting setting. The visit to the park leaves you speechless. Multiple hundred-year-old trees outline the outline of a French-style garden hiding fountains, an aviary and numerous stone buildings, some of which are listed. The original basin has been wonderfully restored to make way for a swimming pool which gives the feeling of having always existed. All of which add to the magnificence of the place. This enchanting setting is as well suited to family life as to the organization of prestigious events.
