Fifteen minutes to the nearest motorway and 5 minutes by car to the shops. There is access to scenic hiking trails directly from the house.
Built of stone almost thirty years ago, the house is south-east facing. Backing onto the hillside and firmly embedded into the rock, it dominates the surrounding hillsides and a village with its 155 m2 of terrace. It features partly exposed stone walls.
Past a large wrought-iron gate, a shaded alleyway leads to the house. The path continues towards a converted outbuilding, a sheltered parking area and second access to the property.
The houseVehicles park at the foot of the house, either outside or in a sheltered parking area. On this level, a large open space serves as a storage area. A few steps lead to another level, the main living area. A terrace with a fountain is just in front of the entrance and continues alongside the living room.
Ground floor
Access is via an old-style steel-framed glazed door into a small conservatory built against the rock. Past a heavy wooden arched door, one walks into a main room measuring 65 m2 with a monumental stone fireplace and a stained glass window. This room, with its very high ceiling opening on to a kitchen area features columns supporting numerous stone arches of different sizes. It comprises two large picture windows that open on to the large terrace from where there is a dominating view. The windows are protected by medieval-style railings. A cloakroom, a shower, and a laundry/boiler room built in the rock complete this level. There are terracotta floor tiles throughout.
From the sitting room, a flight of stone stairs leads to the upper floor. It continues into a gallery hall overlooking the main living quarters through the arches. Four bedrooms, all of which, have their own terrace and parquet floorings. The master bedroom, facing north-east, has a stone ribbed vaulting and cornerstone. It has a toilet, shower, washbasin and wardrobe. A door opens directly on to a terrace and a swimming pool. Another bedroom, to the west, has a bed on a stone pedestal and a few steps lead to a south-facing terrace that overhangs the main entrance. The east-facing bedroom has direct access to a stone toboggan sliding down in to the swimming pool. The last bedroom, south-east facing, is also close to the swimming pool. The bathroom has a vaulted ceiling and there is a separate toilet. The landIn front of the house the land is for the most part wooded, with pine trees and on a lower level there is scrubland. A path leads directly from the property towards the hillside. Five metres above the house, a stone bridge with two arches has been built. The swimming pool is free form with stone walls, sheltered from outside view and with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. The wooden chaletA Canadian-style wooden chalet is used as a guest house. Approx. 50 m2, it comprises a large room with a wood burner, a kitchen area and a shower room. There is an adjoining terrace. The outbuildingsThere are four:
