Manor Verneuil-sur-Avre (27)
A 19th century manor house, with a second dwelling and outbuildings set in approx 8 ha of grounds, including a 2 ha lake, 130 km from Paris. Protected by a high gateway, the property is accessed via a 300 m driveway surrounded by woodland, which leads to an immense lake, home to a multitude of migratory birds. The four-storey manor house stands on the right. Rebuilt in 1830 in a Romantic style, it comprises a central section with a gable roof flanked by two pavilions, each topped by a hip roof. The roof is tiled and features several hip dormers to the front and to the back. Rendered in beige tones, the facades are enhanced by corner quoins, window surrounds and brick stringcourses that echo the chimneys. There are large small-paned windows on all sides of the house, protected by louvered shutters. The openings on the ground floor are arched. On the right-hand side of the manor house, there are two-level outbuildings. About 200 m further on, after crossing a small wood, the second dwelling comes into view. It has its own separate entrance from a small village lane. An outbuilding abuts this annexe. Part of the Iton river was diverted to create the lakes typical for this area. They mirror the stately and impressive silhouette of the manor house. Surrounded by forests, the estate was declared a fiefdom by King Louis XII in the early 16th century.

House with pool and terrace Le Chesne (27)
Light, calm, well-being, here are the key words that best translate the delicious impression left by this elegant contemporary house. As soon as you cross the threshold, a huge living room of 90 m2 welcomes the visitor and plunges him into uncluttered perspectives with salient lines. The open kitchen and its dining area is the central point around which revolve two lounge areas and a dining area. A wood-burning stove on one side, video-projection equipment on the other, there's something for everyone; the whole opens onto the terrace and the surrounding countryside. The bamboo parquet brings warmth and distinction, while the cement tiles in the kitchen and the raw concrete staircase claim an assumed modernity and a relevant mix of materials. Continuing from the ground floor, a bedroom and its shower room with wc communicate with the pool area. Covering an area of 60m2 and bright, it offers a sports and relaxation area around the 3 x 7 meter swimming pool equipped with counter-current swimming and a salt filtration system. View of nature in all seasons to escape from everyday life! A technical and laundry area completes the premises. The first floor, all covered in raw concrete, offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and all modern comforts. The open-air terrace will allow you to take a breath of fresh air facing the Normandy countryside: a change of scenery guaranteed ! In fine weather, the double wooden terrace will host barbecue parties on evenings with friends and the elegant, skilfully landscaped ornamental pond will allow peaceful rejuvenation. A double closed garage completes the set. This haven of peace is located 5km from Damville and its shops, 1h30 from Paris and Honfleur and 25km from Evreux, in a small village with a discreet and comforting neighborhood, confirming if need be that country life is not does not mean isolation. Manor L'Aigle (61)
2 hours from Paris, this charming Norman manor from the 17th century, typical for its half-timbered style, rests in its pleasantly wooded 2.4 ha park, entirely enclosed by dense hedges. Slightly extended over the centuries, with approximately 200 m² of living space for 7 rooms, it comprises on the ground floor an entrance leading to an office/workshop that can be converted into a bedroom, with direct access to the outside, a living room with fireplace, a bathroom dining room also with fireplace, a bathroom and a small kitchen that can open onto a scullery including the boiler room. The entrance with a pretty wooden staircase leads to a landing overlooking a corridor from which depend 4 bedrooms and the bathroom. The continuity of the staircase leads to the blind loft forming a vast attic. The building provides a double exposure to the main rooms, thus ensuring pleasant light. In order to reach current standards for such a manor, some rearrangements may be considered. To this is added a longhouse of approximately 240 m² of living space, a charming outbuilding that can be perfectly converted from its current state. It should be noted that the roofs of these buildings have recently been completely redone and the frames reinforced. Six other buildings, built in the style of the ensemble, dot the park, one of which includes an above-ground swimming pool. There are garden sheds, bread oven and barbecue, agricultural garage, shed, garage… The largely wooded park also gives way to a beautiful meadow. Its architecture, its environment and its location make it a property of character that can only seduce. Contact: Hugues de Jessey. Phone: +33 6 60 12 33 33
