The residenceThis residence is composed of a main, rectangular building, dating from the 19th century, with a 20th century extension standing at right angles to it. Constructed from rendered quarry stone blocks covered with Virginia creeper, the residence spans four levels, one of which is under the rafters. The single-storey extension has a flat roof. The main residence is topped with a slate gable roof, featuring roof dormers. Freestone has been used for the framing around the windows, which are arched on the extension, the roof dormers, the cornices and the quoins. Four steps lead up to the house via a porch.
Ground floor
The entrance hall, reached via double doors enhanced in their upper sections with wrought iron, spans a large surface area, the end of which houses a wide, original wooden stairway with wrought iron railings. A toilet has been installed under the stairs. Double doors on either side of the entrance door open into reception rooms, all featuring herringbone pattern parquet flooring, cornices and marble fireplaces. A dining room on the avenue side is followed by a kitchen, with parquet flooring, and a back kitchen. On the parklands side, a little lounge adjoins a very large lounge, subdivided into three separate sections: a music room area, a games room area and a lounge area, with a large, white marble fireplace as well as a view out over the terrace and the parklands. Through light and numerous windows make this vast living room very bright.
First floor
The stairway goes up to a landing which leads, on one side, to two bedrooms, with a communal shower room and a study which could become a shower room so that each bedroom has its own comfortable bathroom. On the other side, a bedroom precedes a bathroom, with a shower, a toilet and a dressing room.
Second floor
