A large sculpted door, surrounded by dressed stone provides entrance to the house on the west side off an attractive little village square. The west facade, covered with a pink rendering and spanning three levels, blends perfectly with the architectural style of the neighbouring houses. Said facade comprises eight arched windows, protected by wide slatted shutters. The guttering on this facade conceals the double cornice of the gable roof. The house faces east over a completely enclosed garden, including a swimming pool, a vast awning as well as an old wash-house. The vegetation provides this particularly peaceful place with essential coolness.
The house
Ground floor
The long entrance hall on this level provides access to all the rooms. Cement floor tiles decorate the vestibule, the ceiling of which goes up to a height of 3 m. On either side of the entrance hall, a bedroom, with a shower room, and a study are pleasantly illuminated by the evening light. At the other end of the entrance hall, a kitchen and a lounge open on to the garden. The lounge, with its fireplace, is very bright as it features three large straight windows. Leading to the upper floors, a wide stairway, with terracotta tiles and wooden nosing, is illuminated via a light-well.
First floor
Two bedrooms are on the west side and two others look out over the garden. A bathroom and a shower room, with a toilet.
Second floor
This level comprises a child’s bedroom on the west side as well as a vast bedroom running the full length of the house, with an adjoining bathroom, a dressing room and direct access to a roof terrace, providing a view over the Esterel mountain range.
