  • Surface 260 m2
  • Rooms 10

A 260 m² designer house, with five bedrooms and a garden, on the edge of Louveciennes national forest in La-Celle-Saint-Cloud.
Ideally located in the highly sought-after district of Gressets, this residence was designed by architect Edmond-Peray, colleague and friend of André-Hilt, “Prix de Rome” in 1934. This south-facing, 2-storey house stands at the end of a plot of land, spanning almost 1,200 m². The reception rooms, laid out on the ground floor around a large entrance hall, include a lounge and a dining room, both with wide windows opening on to the garden. A kitchen adjoins a storeroom. Further on are a separate toilet and a first bedroom, with its bathroom. An elegantly-shaped stairway goes up to the first floor. This level is taken up by the more private areas: a parental suite, with a bedroom, a study, a dressing room and a bathroom, and a hall area providing access to three other bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate toilet. The basement is also set out around a boiler room, three cellars as well as a spare bedroom, opening on to a sunken area, with its shower room. A lock-up garage on the side of the house can take at least two cars. Renovation and decoration works need to be scheduled.
The houseThis house, built in 1975, was designed by architect, Edmond-Peray. Spanning two levels, its facade is typical of modern architecture. Its combination of concrete and wood helps it to blend perfectly in with its surroundings.
Ground floor
A wide front door opens into a large entrance hall, flanked on the south side by reception rooms. On the right-hand side, a large lounge, with a fireplace, spans approx. 40 m². Its impressive south-facing windows take up one entire wall and open on to the garden, creating a luminous atmosphere. On the left-hand side, a dining room reflects similar hues and features. The fitted kitchen, reached via the entrance hall or the dining room, is big enough to include an eating area. A door provides access to the outside and the garage, making it easy to put shopping away. This kitchen is extended by a storeroom, now transformed into a laundry room. A hall area lined with numerous storage areas, on the right-hand side of the stairway, leads to a separate toilet, and, a little further on, to a ground floor bedroom and its bathroom. The reception room floors are covered with natural travertine stone.
First floor
The wide stairway and its smooth, white, concreate banister, goes upstairs. On the right-hand side of the landing, the parental suite, spanning almost 50 m², comprises a large bedroom and a study, overlooking the garden, a dressing room and a large bathroom. A hall area, on the left-hand side, leads to the three other bedrooms, the communal bathroom and a separate toilet. The particularity of the three south-facing bedrooms is that they open via wide French windows on to an outside balcony corridor, dominating the garden.
Basement
The central stairway also goes down to the lower level of the house. This is where the sixth bedroom is to be found: a spare room opening on to a sunken area, with its own shower room. Opposite, three cellars could be used as storage areas or be converted into a games or an exercise room. The last door opens into a boiler room, housing a recent, very efficient, de-Dietrich, gas-fired, condensing boiler. The gardenThe garden, extending over close to 1,000 m² in front of the house, is enhanced with a large variety of trees, shrubs and flowers that bloom in accordance with the seasons: oak and fir trees, rose beds, a Mexican orange tree, ferns, and a creeping pine.
