A second stairway leads to the basement which contains a succession of cellars and vaulted masonry passages. On its north side, the dwelling has an open gable. The slate roof ends on the south side with a hipped roof. The adjoining south pavilion has a single square floor. It has a slate roof and also ends in a hipped roof.
