Farmhouse Saint-Quentin (02)

An 18th century former abbey farmhouse set in more than 4 5 hectares in the Thiérache region. The farm estate belonged to the Prémontré Abbey from the 12th century. Destroyed by fire in 1731, it was rebuilt between 1740 and 1780. After leaving the main road, a tarred track of about 1.5 km leads to the entrance of the property. A driveway framed by wooden fences delimiting the pastures leads first to the caretaker’s lodge on the left and then up to the farmhouse. The complex forms an enclosed courtyard accessed via a dovecote-porch set in a building with a barn at right angles facing the sheepfold and the stables. The main residence is situated at the bottom of the courtyard, surrounded by outbuildings used as workshop, garage, boiler room and sports room. A small sand arena is located in the centre of the courtyard, a second one, measuring 40 x 20 metres, can be found at the rear of the barn. The pastures extend over a little more than 4 hectares with a shelter for horses. One meadow has a pond of approx. 1,500 m² fed by a spring.

House Saint-Quentin (02)

A monumental art deco church listed as a historical monument, in France’s Picardy region, two hours from Paris. In the aftermath of the First World War, the clergy found the local church too cramped to host all the district’s churchgoers and too badly damaged by the war to be used. So they decided to build a new church. This project was mainly funded by war compensation for other religious buildings. For the new church, the clergy called upon the architect Narcisse Laurent, who handed over his monumental work in 1937. The decision was made to build the church on a vast plot of land. A military aerial view taken in November 1918 shows that this plot of land was in the heart of a fighting zone beside a German trench at the gates of the town. At the time, the public saw a powerful symbol in this new construction: a church built on a war trench to heal the wounds of a tragic conflict.

House Saint-Quentin (02)

Just 1h30 from Paris and 15 minutes from Saint-Quentin, this magnificent residence is nestled in the heart of the Oise valley. Locally referred to as 'Le Château', it offers 535 square meters spread over three levels. As you pass through the gate, you will discover an elegant facade, skillfully mixing brick and stone, decorated with pilasters and a balcony. After a flight of steps, this property opens its doors to you! You can admire all the words of bourgeois housing and a mansion: parquet floors, moldings, ceiling height, fireplace, cement tiles? However, reducing this property to these characteristics would be simplistic. What impresses here is the perfect harmony between these architectural elements and a sober, elegant and refined decoration. Every room, every corner has been treated with attention to detail; the renovation left no room for chance, whether in the choice of materials or colors. Let's start the visit! As soon as you enter, you will discover a comfortable, fully double hall, giving direct access to the garden and serving the different living rooms. On the right, there is a large and comfortable living room, as well as a dining room. On the left is a fitted and equipped kitchen. The numerous openings promote fluid circulation and natural light floods each room. On the same level, a discreetly hidden corridor leads to a bedroom on the ground floor, a second, more intimate living room, the scullery and the laundry room. The magnificent staircase takes you to the first floor, where a carefully renovated double landing accommodates an office. The view of the countryside is breathtaking! On either side of this double landing, two corridors lead to a master bedroom with its private bathroom, four other bedrooms, a dressing room and a bathroom. The second level offers a fully furnished and isolated platform, enough to give free rein to your imagination. The garden, ideal for hosting a swimming pool, also offers a games area. And why stop there? A set of outbuildings and a double garage complete the property. A true masterpiece that will appeal to lovers of prestigious primary or secondary residences as well as people looking for a place that can accommodate a guest house and seminar rooms. To visit without delay!
