We complete our visit to the property with a look at the converted barn. Its style is in harmony with that so often found in the south of Les Landes. This imposing building is built over two floors. The ground floor consists of a series of three garages. The converted appartment comprises a kitchen, dining-room, two bedrooms and a bathroom, with a shady covered terrace. There is an equal amount of floor space on the upper floor, which is currently one large attic-room, where the glorious wooden roof-struts are exposed. On the lower level of the barn there is a wine cellar. A tour of the grounds would not be complete without a look at the traditional chicken coop, and wood store. Last but not least, a final mention must be saved for the gardens themselves, which are full of interest with many flowers, shrubs and trees. The property is connected to the mains drains. Our thoughts here at Bliss: This spacious property with its many original features requires some updating to the main house but is, overall, in good condition. With relevant planning permission, tourist rooms could be developed in the barn, whereas the location in the heart of a village, will appeal to local professionals wishing to work from home. To whom might this property not appeal? With some works required to take this home to the next level, this property cannot be considered perfect from a decorative point of view. The property has all the advantages of being located in the heart of a village, but this gives rise to some of the noises one can expect from village life and should be avoided by anyone looking to retreat to the heart of the countryside in complete quietude. In Summary! A perfect location for this period property located in the heart of Habas, with its spacious main home and barn. It is ideal for anyone appreciative of the fine original elements this home has to offer, but who is prepared to undertake some works.
