The farm and the village are located on the hilly ridge that separates the Chiana Valley from the Crete Senesi. With a surface area of 2800 square meters, the buildings are immersed in about 65 hectares of land, of which 30 hectares of woodland, 6 hectares of olive groves with 1760 trees and about 30 hectares of arable land. From the residential complex you can see the hills of Montepulciano and Monte Cetona, the "Crete Senesi", Monte Amiata and Siena.
In the immediate vicinity there are important places of cultural and architectural interest such as the Romanesque parish church of S. Stefano, the monastery of S. Anna in Camprena with frescoes by Sodoma and just beyond, the abbey complex of Monte Oliveto Maggiore, Pienza, Montepulciano and many other places.
The eighteenth-century manor house houses three rooms and six suites whose furnishings, strictly antiques, have been chosen with particular attention to the style and period of the building.
Inside two of the suites, moreover, the walls and the sofa have frescoed decorations dating back to the 19th century.
In order to offer a complete service, each room and each suite has been equipped with mini-bar, telephone and satellite television.
The farmhouse part of the hamlet, made up of old houses, stables and barns, has been completely restored and transformed into comfortable apartments, each one furnished with furniture of poor Tuscan art and almost all of them equipped with the old fireplace, now working again.
The 20 apartments (with a total of 30 rooms) are all furnished with materials of poor Tuscan art and designed to best meet the taste and needs of each guest.
The Borgo's restaurant was born in the old cellars of the farm where the barrels and barns were placed; the furniture and the architectural structure of its rooms still preserve the characteristic aspect.
The outdoor environment also offers the possibility of entertainment such as the swimming pool and whirlpool bath or the bar, where you can taste appetizers in front of a pleasant panorama. The woods themselves, finally, create excellent opportunities for walking or horseback riding.
State and finishes
The careful renovation of the hamlet has brought it back to its former glory with its characteristic rural buildings, the elegant manor house, the streets and gardens, as well as the same agricultural activity with the cultivation of olive trees, the original resource of the farm of the past and current source of production of an excellent organic extra virgin olive oil, precious taste of Tuscan lands.
From the articulated structure it has also been possible to obtain ideal environments for meetings, congresses, convivial evenings or more simply, for quiet moments of relaxation dedicated to pleasant readings.
The complex is currently a high-level accommodation facility, so it is advisable to keep the tourist purpose unchanged.
