Patrick Jouin designer

Patrick Jouin explains the role of serendipity in this work and provides a behind-the-scenes look at the agency he created ten yers ago.

Patrick Jouin, 42, has designed Puiforcat sets of silverware and Fermob’s Facto chair, and donated works to the permanent collections of various museums. Using interplay and diversity, he strives to keep in touch with his intuition, motivated by the serendipity in the creative process. Jouin won Maison et Objet’s Creator of the Year prize in 2003 and the Innovation award for Zyken’s NightCove. In 2008, he and Sanjit Manku set up their own agency. He is currently developing new air processing devices, designing private homes in Abu Dhabi and Paris, and finalising projects with Alain Ducasse.
