Brought down in 1834, the park has been entirely reconstructed, giving their charm back to the gardens and the courts

In Saint-Martin-de-la-Place, the castle of Boumois is a typical stately mansion from the late Middle Ages, a link between Gothic and Renaissance. “Featuring towers, moats and a porch, this magnificent listed property is unmistakably stylish,” stresses the cabinet Le Nail. Erected ca. 1520, perfectly restored, the impressive castle has retained a human scale. The ground floor houses a vast tiled living room with a monumental fireplace and open beams, a library, a pool room, another entrance, the huge dining room with an oak-beamed ceiling and a chapel. Three “suites” and a bedroom are located on the first floor. Upstairs, the guardroom leads to several rooms and nooks, including the covered way. Beautiful designs are everywhere: a friezed fireplace, indoor shutters, and a former arrow slit. The 19-ha estate comes with French gardens, a rosary, an orchard and a 10-ha wood planted with American oaks, maple- and pine trees.
