Situated in the western end of the Chamonix Valley, built by Piedmontese mountaineers between 1775 and 1777, the property was originally an alpine farm, and remained so for the 200 years since its construction, before to become an auberge in the 1940s. Today, the farm is reputed to be one of the most beautiful properties in the region. This former Savoyard farm, elegantly restored, offers an exceptional panorama of the Mont Blanc massif and an intimacy that is rarely found in alpine resorts. The property is located on the edge of a nature reserve, at the foot of some of the region's best hiking trails, yet only a few minutes drive from the local ski lifts. The main chalet of around 400m2 extends over 4'000 square meters of gardens and terraces in complete privacy thanks to its long driveway and the trees and high hedges that surround the property. Facing south-east and at 1'100 meters altitude, the site enjoys a clear view of the Mont Blanc massif and a direct sunshine throughout the day. The main chalet has three double bedrooms and a rooftop dormitory in the old hayloft, which can accommodate up to nine people (four double beds and one single bed). All rooms have a private bathroom. The living spaces are spacious, yet cozy, and highlight many of the original features of the property. In addition to your private quarters, you can settle in the Winter Garden, in the lounge or in the living room/cinema. The large open kitchen with its large table with stunning mountain views is use for daily meals, the warm dining room with wood-paneled walls is often reserved for big occasions. The ground floor is equipped with a Sonos sound system to select the listening areas. Attached to the main chalet you will find an independent studio of around 50m2 with its own bedroom, entrance door, bathroom and kitchenette. A guest chalet, around 175m2, is located at the entrance of the property offering at the garden level, a beautiful living room with an equipped kitchen, a dining room and a lounge open onto a wooded terrace. On the ground floor, 1 double bedroom with a washbasin, 2 double bedrooms with a shower room en suite, 2 toilets and an additional shower room. On the 1st floor, 3 double bedrooms with a washbasin and a double bedroom with a shower room. A few steps from the Chalet Principal, one of the three original mazots has been transformed into a sauna, equipped with an outdoor shower for the summer. To the left of the sauna, a Norwegian wooden jacuzzi, overlooking the Aiguilles de Chamonix. The covered garage can accommodate four large vehicles, with six more vehicles easily parked in the main driveway. Attached to the garage is a large ski room equipped with a boot heater for your ski boots.
