The farmers' markets (especially the Périgueux farmers market is famous; it has the best and freshest products which can be bought on market days which are Wednesday and Saturday mornings), numerous grand chateaux and historic sites are also nearby, including the Lascaux caves and the limestone houses in Les Eyzies. The charming medieval towns of Perigueux and Sarlat are less than half an hour away. Brive is less than one hour away and Bordeaux International Airport is within 1 hour and 30 minutes by car.
