The Maison des Ecureuils, which dominates the horizon with its long picture windows looking out over Lake Annecy and Mont Blanc, combines comfort, luxurious fixtures and fittings, and a lodge-like feel. Guests can admire the view of the Falaises du Parmelan, the silhouette of la Tournette, glorified by Eugène Sue, and Lake Annecy set like a jewel between the Roc de Chère, Taillefer mountain and Mont Blanc. Laurence and Nicolas Odin are the owners of the property. The chefs are Cédric Perret and Marc Le Roux – Executive Chef: “Our clientele are after guaranteed value: good, locally grown, organic produce.” And Marc attends to their needs with rigour and generosity of spirit: “And, yes, we share the exact same values!” Cédric Perret, pastry chef: “I’m crrrazy about chocolate.” Cedric is our very own Salvador Dali: his over-active imaginative, hint of surrealist madness and technical expertise mean that his desserts are genuine gourmet works of art.
