Set in the heart of the Périgord Vert, Domaine de Bonnefond is a remarkable historic property surrounded by 52 hectares of private woodland, meadows and its own lake, with a large heated swimming pool and private tennis court. Originally a monastery dating back to the 12th century, the house has been carefully restored to preserve its character while providing the comfort of a high-end holiday home.
The main house is arranged over three floors, connected by an elegant stone staircase. Its generous proportions and many original architectural features reflect the long history of the property. The former dovecote, stables and bread oven add further character and authenticity to the estate.
Accommodating up to 12 guests, the property offers generous living spaces as well as plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the peace and privacy of the estate.
Outside, guests have exclusive use of all the estate’s facilities. The heated swimming pool is surrounded by ample space for relaxing, while the private tennis court is ideal for making the most of the warmer months. A spacious covered terrace with fireplace, an outdoor play area for children and a large games area within the former stables provide further places to spend time together.
The estate’s 52 hectares offer plenty of opportunity to enjoy the surrounding countryside, with woodland and meadows creating an exceptionally peaceful and private setting.
Domaine de Bonnefond combines centuries of history with space, privacy and excellent facilities, making it particularly well suited to families and groups of friends looking for an exceptional country retreat in the Dordogne.
