Built in 1611, Château de Monferrier is an elegant historic residence of approximately 1,000 m², set within 21 hectares of private grounds in the Dordogne. The château itself accommodates up to 14 guests in 8 bedrooms. Two separate pavilions, each accommodating a further 2 guests, can be rented in addition, bringing the total capacity of the estate to 18 guests. The property also features a magnificent 16 × 8 metre heated private swimming pool and enjoys far-reaching 180-degree views across the surrounding countryside. Remarkably well preserved over the centuries, the château has had only five owners since it was built. This exceptional continuity has helped retain many beautiful original features, including window handles in the form of winged angels, a carved limestone balustrade staircase, imposing fireplaces, tall French windows and classically proportioned beamed ceilings. Carefully restored, the château now combines its architectural heritage with an excellent level of modern comfort.
