House with pool and garden Camblanes-et-Meynac (33)

Contemporary architecture from 2015, this superb 165 m2 house on a wooded plot of 8700 m2 pays homage to its time 1.5 km from the charming village of Camblane et Meynac.     Designed from an architect's sketch, this fully bioclimatic house sits like a true belvedere in the heart of a magnificent plot of land, facing a long swimming pool that blends into nature. The architectural approach, both linear and cubic, creates a volume open on all sides to its surroundings. Large windows extend the perspectives and blur the boundaries between inside and outside. Clad in anthracite aluminum, the building is topped with an insulating arch that defines the pine eaves, a signature graphic element of this unique architecture. Inside, polished concrete naturally complements the washed stone of the exterior, creating a seamless continuity of understated, mineral materials. Upon entering, a long oak bookcase unfolds like a fully-fledged architectural element. It forms an openwork partition, allowing light to filter through and gradually guiding the eye towards the living spaces and the panoramic view. Here, the reception rooms seem to blend seamlessly with the landscape. The semi-open and thoughtfully designed kitchen flows into the dining room, which extends from it. Below, the living room creates a more intimate space, organized around an integrated wood-burning stove, the true centerpiece of a perfectly conceived heating system. Extending from this, the master suite opens onto a wooded view with bluish tones, as if suspended between sky and vegetation. In contrast, extending the clean lines of the house, the sleeping area comprises three large bedrooms, each with direct access to the opposite garden. They share an all-white bathroom.     A fluid and perfectly controlled plan where nature is constantly invited into the domestic space for the well-being of everyone.

    Apartment with terrace Bordeaux (33)

Dating from the 19th century, this building located on a quiet street in the Saint-Michel district houses, on its first floor, a 50 m2 apartment with a 6 m2 patio.     Renovated in 2025, the apartment reveals an intimate interior where every detail has been meticulously thought out to create a harmonious, ready-to-live-in whole. Access is via a private patio, equipped with a water feature, a true extension of the living space outdoors. Pushing open the glass front door, the spaces flow seamlessly into one another. The eat-in kitchen, opening onto the patio, offers a deep and welcoming ambiance with its dark wood-toned cabinetry that complements a black mineral countertop and a green tiled backsplash, while graphic floor tiles add dynamism to the space. Beyond the kitchen, the living room opens onto solid wood flooring in honey tones that warms the atmosphere, while the high ceilings amplify the sense of space. Large windows allow natural light to flood in. A marble fireplace, with cement tile flooring and framed by moldings, anchors the space in a subtly preserved history. The bedroom, adorned with purple-toned wallpaper, is currently semi-open to the living room. Conceived as an intimate haven within a well-defined space, it can easily be isolated to become a fully independent room. The functional bathroom boasts a strong graphic design. Patterned tiles create a rhythm across the surfaces, adding depth and character, contrasted by a blue mosaic shower tray and a vanity with rounded lines. A dressing area completes the space and offers ample storage.     An apartment with old-world charm in the heart of a vibrant neighborhood.

    House with terrace Bordeaux (33)

With its 1950s maritime architecture, this 38.5-meter-long river barge, inspired by the French Freycinet model, now houses a distinctive 100 m2 dwelling, moored on the Bassin à Flots, in the heart of the Bordeaux Maritime district.     Renovated in 2022, the barge has been repurposed as a unique living space. Once the hull was gutted, the project focused on revealing a generous and spectacular volume, where Japanese minimalism meets Scandinavian hygge. From the moment you enter, the high ceilings give the place an unexpected sense of space. Oblong portholes frame unique views of the submarine base and the docks of the basin, while skylights diffuse a soft, ever-changing zenithal light. The entire space is clad in poplar wood. Chosen for its lightness and softness, it creates visual continuity from one room to the next and envelops the spaces in a warm atmosphere. In contrast, the Viroc panel flooring, in a dark shade, affirms the contemporary style of the project and reinforces its unity. At the center of the houseboat, the living room and master suite are arranged around an intimate open-air patio. Bordered by floor-to-ceiling windows, it introduces an unexpected sense of openness to the heart of the living space and extends the views to the outside. A linear kitchen leads to a second bedroom, complete with its own shower room, and a laundry room. On the wheelhouse level, a separate 25 m2 studio extends the living space. Comprising a bedroom, a small living room, and a kitchen, it offers additional space for accommodating family and friends.     A floating architecture somewhere between Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian softness.
