Next to the massage sala is a wonderful indoor cinema with a high-definition projector and large screen. Both Netflix and IPTV are available for everything from world news to live sports, children’s entertainment channels and thousands of movies and TV shows. And in the kid’s bunk room as well as their own private shower room there are built-in wardrobes, lots of storage space and a large wall-mounted 65inch LED again with Netflix. After the massage sala there are two further bedrooms (1 and 2) with the Master Suite opposite and a little further forward. All the bedrooms are more than spacious with built-in wardrobes and storage, king-size beds, black-out curtains, bedside reading lamps, table and chairs plus universal sockets and USB ports for re-charging phones and tablets. They all also have large bathrooms with toilet, sink and power showers. And the Master and bedrooms 1 and 2 also have an additional outdoor bath in a separate second bathroom. They are completely walled in for privacy and are open-air so you can relax in a warm bath in the evening and simply gaze upon the stars above. The villa sits in a secluded location with no neighbours so the sky at night is often crystal clear for tranquil and serene star-gazing. Bedrooms 4, 3 and 5 on the upper level each have a large balcony with table and chairs and outdoor power points. And they all have wonderful sea views and views of the hills, shrubbery and trees surrounding the villa and of the magnificent night sky. On the left after bedrooms 1 and 2 is the kitchen and indoor dining area. There is a Western guest kitchen with Gorenje and Franke appliances and systems plus a separate chef’s kitchen behind it, again with top of the range equipment, fixtures and fittings. The indoor dining table comfortably seats 12 plus there is another alfresco dining table for 12 beside the pool and swim-up bar. And it’s this outdoor social area where you’ll no doubt spend much of your time. The first decking area with outdoor dining table and chairs is covered giving shade during the hottest part of the day but without compromising on the views, the ocean is right in front of you as is the tiny island of Koh Tan. You can take day trips to this islet from the nearby village of Thong Krut just a few minutes away. In the distance, the hills you can see are those that make up the coastline of the mainland. This deck is right beside the kid’s pool (70cm deep) and the 21 metre long lap pool (90 – 150 cm deep). And it’s also joined onto the swim-up beach bar that houses a state-of-the-art Brinkmann Select BBQ, a sink and enough fridge space to host a major beer and wine party. There are high stools around the bar and four swim up stools in the pool for when you feel like a cocktail but just aren’t quite ready to get out of the water yet. Beyond the bar there’s another decking area with half-a-dozen sun loungers and this deck could easily become the perfect dance-floor in the evening. At the beachside end of the pool it forms an L shape with a further four sunken sun-loungers plus there’s also a sunken sala with cushions for relaxing beside the pool in the shade. From there, steps lead onto a lawn and the 25 metre beachfront and then down onto the beach where mangrove trees grow in the shallows. As you gaze out from here you have Koh Taen to the left and then to the right is the expanse of Thong Krut bay which has plenty of oceanfront restaurants and a fleet of Thai long-tail fishing boats. Back into the villa and behind the sunken sala is an enormous lounge. There are large, soft sofas, eye-catching décor, a 75-inch HD flat screen TV mounted on the wall, floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows, electric shades and it’s fully air-conditioned. To one side there is also a seven foot pool table. The villa has a Sonos sound system with B&W speakers throughout the villa with four different zones each with independent volume control. The estate has CCTV and a safe in every bedroom and has a Villa Manager, a private Chef and a live-in couple who have separate accommodation to the rear of the property.
