A variety of wild birds and turtles find refuge in this quiet area that is so diverse, offering endless possibilities to the visitor, from birdwatching, horseback riding, hiking or simply relaxing and enjoying the scenery. There are also several historically significant churches and monasteries in the area such as the impressive Agia Triada and Moni Gouvernetou built in the sixteenth century, a visit to which is highly recommended.
