Set on elevated ground in Le Gosier, overlooking the Îlet du Gosier lighthouse, La Cachette is an architect-designed villa fully restored in 2023, offering exceptional panoramic views over the Caribbean Sea, Marie-Galante, Les Saintes, Basse-Terre and the La Soufrière volcano. Built in the 1960s by Gérard-Michel Corbin, a pupil of Ali Tur, the property has retained its distinctive modernist architecture, decorative openwork walls and original built-in planters, while offering high-end contemporary amenities. The villa can accommodate up to 10 guests. It features five bedrooms, each with its own private shower room and separate toilet: four bedrooms have a 160 cm double bed, while the fifth has two single beds that can be joined to form a 180 cm bed. Four bedrooms are located upstairs and one is on the ground floor. Bed linen and towels are provided. On the ground floor, the spacious living area overlooking the sea comprises a lounge, a TV area and a fully equipped kitchen with an American-style fridge-freezer, a second refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, induction hob and coffee machines. A large breakfast bar provides seating for up to 10 guests. The outdoor areas offer several spaces in which to relax, including a saltwater infinity pool, a covered pavilion with lounge seating, a shaded relaxation area, a sun terrace with two large daybeds, an outdoor shower and a large dining table beneath a pergola. Planted with tropical species and mango trees, the garden is regularly visited by hummingbirds. Anse Canot and La Datcha beaches, as well as beach bars, restaurants and shops, are all within a few minutes’ walk. Covered private parking is available within the property. Located in a very quiet residential neighbourhood, the villa is intended for peaceful stays and parties are not permitted. The property is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
