luxury holidays rental Mareuil, France

Set in the heart of the Périgord Vert in the Dordogne, Maison Les Étoiles is an elegant 19th-century country house, beautifully renovated to accommodate up to 15 guests. Surrounded by unspoilt countryside and open views, the property combines the character of a historic home with contemporary design and a high level of comfort. The renovation was carried out with the involvement of architects and artists, with particular attention paid to materials, proportions and detail. Antique furniture is combined with contemporary pieces, creating interiors that feel both refined and welcoming. The house offers seven bedrooms and six bathrooms, making it particularly well suited to families and groups of friends. The bedrooms on the upper floor benefit from air conditioning, while the ground floor has underfloor heating. In the living room, a striking suspended designer fireplace forms one of the architectural focal points of the house. Outside, the large 13 × 4 metre heated swimming pool is surrounded by a spacious terrace overlooking the Dordogne countryside. One of the property's most distinctive features is its private covered padel court, allowing guests to play whatever the weather. It is a rare facility to find at a private holiday property in the Dordogne and a wonderful addition for both experienced players and beginners. The estate is also home to an ambitious organic farming project. Since 2021, more than 20,000 walnut trees and truffle oaks have been planted on the surrounding land. Subject to availability and by prior arrangement, guests may have the opportunity to visit the plantation with the owners' permission. Maison Les Étoiles offers an exceptional combination of character, space, contemporary comfort and unusual facilities, providing a beautiful base from which to enjoy the Dordogne.
