Property Logron (28)

In the south of the Parc Naturel Régional du Perche, an exceptional wooded estate set in a vast waterway, 1h30 from Paris. Original in its history, this important estate was part of the park of a medieval castle. Internationally-renowned landscape architect Francois Goffinet was commissioned to redesign this rare site, harmonizing the whole. The canvassed paths have been rediscovered, and the water features and wood perfectly recomposed. This luxuriant nature is a delight that renews itself with the seasons. A rich inventory of protected species compiled by the Conservatoire National des Espaces Naturels makes this a unique ecosystem for all animal and plant life protected at national level and under the Bern Convention. It is not uncommon to come across deer, waterfowl and everything else that makes up the flora and fauna of such a place. The contemporary house has been beautifully integrated to form a majestic landscape ensemble. It comprises a vast living room of approx. 80 m² with fireplace, opening onto the garden through large bay windows, a fully-equipped American kitchen, a master suite, dressing room and toilet. Upstairs, 4 large bedrooms, bathroom and toilet. Basement with wine cellar and boiler room (gas boiler). Outbuildings for use as garage, workshop, garden room and shed. House Dangeau (28)

A 16th century dovecote, its house and a small jetty for boating on the river in a medieval Perche village. The main house probably dates back to the second half of the 19th century. It stands in front of the circular dovecote dating from 1555, which forms part of its interior layout. The two-storey building is of rendered brick and stone. The upper floor features 3 hip roof dormers with triangular pediments, two of which were recently added. This building is extended at right angles by the section used as an outbuilding, with the same architectural features. The barn and farm doors have been repainted. On this side, wall dormers provide natural light. The gable roof is clad with brown tiles. Two entrance doors topped by transoms and two paned windows with brick surrounds are arranged rather randomly with respect to the positioning of the dormer windows. On the facade, a circular stone cartouche, which is older than the house itself, features the monogram of Diane de Poitiers, depicting three interlaced crescent moons. This was the height of the French Renaissance: the dovecote dates back to 1555, when the fame of Diane de Poitiers radiated all the way from Anet, 80 km away, where she had retired. The dovecote is located at the rear on the platform that rises several metres above the Ozanne river. A large terrace lined with flowers extends along the length of the house, bordering the tower and reaching as far as the wall separating this property from its neighbour. At the foot of the wall, steps lead down to the water and the moored boat.

House Chateaudun (28)

A splendid nineteenth-century house in the town centre of Châteaudun with a secondary dwelling and a large workshop. You enter the house from the street. The property is entirely enclosed with walls. A small garden in the middle of the property links the main house to an old workshop. At the end of this inner garden lies a small house that can be rented out. This fine property is one of the town’s most beautiful edifices. The main entrance door stands in the house’s two-floor facade, which is capped with a fine mansard roof in which a top floor lies. Three bays are separated by brickwork and exposed stone quoins. Two cornices separate the different levels and underline their purposes: the reception rooms, then the bedrooms and finally the former service floor. The mansard roof features two large dormers with pediments – one on each of the two street-facing sides. The front one is flanked with two arched windows that give height to the whole structure. The facade is centred on the entrance: a large oak double door with mouldings. An arched fanlight crowns it. Two steps lead up to it. This entrance door is flanked with two tall casement windows with wooden louvred shutters. Above them, the other windows are similarly shaped and stand in line with them. A protruding stone balcony runs along the first floor of the other street-facing side and underlines the presence of a master bedroom – an innovation in a century when bedrooms became places of comfort and privacy.
