Castle Mougins (06)
The 1,400 m2 château, once a monastery built by monks from the Lérins islands, was transformed into an aristocratic French Riviera residence by Sri Edwin Lutyens in 1912.
It was not until after the First World War that the château was acquired by Baron de Wolverton and became his holiday home for several decades. In the 1980s and 1990s, many film stars and celebrities stayed here.
Very recently, the château has been completely renovated and restored using top-quality materials, and now boasts the latest technology and unrivalled comfort.
A 21x6m swimming pool, a sumptuous, fully-equipped pool house with a 90 m2 summer lounge, a clay tennis court, a 130 m golf practice range with putt and chip area, a spa, a gym and a petanque court, a caretaker's cottage of around 170m2 and a sheepfold in need of restoration (potential surface area of around 350m2) complete its many assets.
