This Castle, former stronghold of a large aristocratic family, hosted the History of France and the illustrious Kings Charles IX, Henri III and Catherine de Medici, Napoleon I and was a vacation spot for Napoleon III and Empress Eugénie.
With its large restored rooms, this Château is on a property made up of a wooded forest and its bridle paths, meadows and Buildings (former dormitories, village hall, infirmary and Gîtes) remains of the summer camps of many schoolchildren for more than 30 years.
Today, rooms still exist to welcome the Pilgrims of the Way of Saint Jacques de Compostela via the Radio Camino of the Southern Branch of Nevers.
