But to properly admire the architecture of this beautiful watermill, its medieval tower and its adjoining annexe, you have to leave the road, drive along a river with a strip of lawn on your other side, then park in a gravelled space. At first glance, you see an intriguing mix of structures made of pointed rubble stone and brick with many windows, beneath roofs of monk-and-nun tiling. The river flows through two stone arches that support the watermill from underneath. Behind, a square tower crowned with a pyramidal roof of flat tiles overlooks the whole complex.
