1 5 hours from Paris, in Burgundy, a renovated former farm, surrounded by 1 hectare of remarkable grounds. Accessible via a small country road, which runs along the property, the L-shaped former farm and its verdant enclosed courtyard appear behind a metal gate framed by brick pillars.
Topped with a gabled flat Burgundy tile roof bordered by brick cornices, the building has two-storeys. Plaster-coated, its façades are punctuated by many arched French doors and small-pane windows in a variety of different sizes and shapes, highlighted by brick surrounds, lintels and windowsills.
The barn, the roof of which is covered in fish-scale tiles, has conserved its imposing wooden entrance topped by a brick vault.
Wooden shutters protect the windows of the right-angle building and its roof is adorned with two gabled dormer windows. A brick patio runs along the length of the entire building. Whether in the courtyard or on the building’s façades, vegetation provides a welcome note of freshness and whimsy.
