A 16th century priory, a mill and outbuildings on the riverside in a village in the French department of Seine-et-Marne. Some 50 km from Paris-Notre-Dame, 20 km from Euro-Disney, 10 km from Coulommiers and 5 km from Faremoutiers with all its shops. A second peninsula, on the other side of the mill, after the clearing, is a meadow where sheep graze. The swimming pool blends well into this pastoral setting.The prioryThis 16th century, L-shaped building, spanning two levels, features exposed stone facades, topped with a flat tile roof which was recently redone.Ground floorThe front door opens into a room with an impressive cathedral ceiling. The floor is paved with Toulouse stone tiles. The stone fireplace was constructed by one of France's top craftsmen.This through room overlooks lawns and an uncovered swimming pool, on one side, and a small wood on the other via a vast picture window. A stone spiral stairway goes up from the lounge to a tower, whilst another symmetrical stairway, this one made of oak wood, goes up to the bedrooms from the other end of the lounge.The vast kitchen, also a through room, is tiled.
