Private mansion Saint-Cyprien (24)

This remarkable mansion, listed as a Historic Monument, rich in memories and quick to switch from one century to another since the 12th century, is ready, today, to capsize lovers of heritage, art and Of the history. First commandery leaning against the ramparts of the old castrum to ensure its defense during the troubled periods of the 12th and 13th centuries, the hotel retains the remains of a Romanesque chapel from this period: vaulted room of 31 m2 and window in archer with beautiful stone equipment. A spiral staircase provides access to the upper floors. The embellishments made in the 15th and 16th centuries: the enhancement of the upper floors; the veneer, on the facade, of an entrance door with typical Italian Renaissance decorations; the opening of mullioned windows with interior shutters, bring the comfort of this period and beautiful reception rooms of 42 and 52 m2 with fireplace, as well as a vast kitchen of 48 m2. The rooms are distributed according to the wanderings of this silent residence which never tires of letting itself be discovered. Light plays gently in this universe beyond the temporal. The courtyard-garden provides access to the outbuildings and technical rooms and remains the witness of a past steeped in history. Shops and services (hospital, nursing home) are within walking distance, the weekly market is always the friendly place par excellence. The village is active all year round. Diagnoses in progress. Castle Les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil (24)

Situated on a hill forming a defensive line known since the Hundred Years' War, with remnants of a watchtower, near a prehistoric site, this superb 15th-century château was modified in the 18th century. It retains all the charm and elegance of Périgourdine properties, ideal for lovers of historic stones and authenticity. A beautiful alley lined with centuries-old chestnut and lime trees leads to a charming carriage gate with a side gate, in an 18th-century stonework patinated by time. Upon arrival, a sumptuous courtyard reveals a building with bright and balanced architecture. The blonde stone creates a subtle play of light, punctuated by vegetation. The eye is drawn to a monumental staircase tower connecting two wings at right angles. The cylindrical tower is topped with a pepperpot roof. Besides providing additional access to the upper floors, this tower gives the building a unique harmony and elegance. The main courtyard also houses a well, a superb dovecote tower, an old chapel, agricultural buildings, former stables, barns converted into garages, and an old wine storehouse with vaulted rooms. The whole exudes a welcoming and picturesque aspect. Trees and greenery are omnipresent, highlighting the area's tranquility. The château, once owned by a famous New York art dealer associated with Henri Matisse's son, extends over nearly 450 m² of living space, with convertible attics. It includes a magnificent entrance with a staircase, an office with a fireplace, a large living room, a large dining room, a smaller, more intimate dining room, a large kitchen with a cantou and a back kitchen. It has 5 beautiful bedrooms and attics under superb inverted boat hull frames. The property features beautiful gardens surrounded by fine annex buildings, including two residential houses and old agricultural buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. These testify to a rich past and offer multiple possibilities: creation of gîtes, apartments, an auditorium, or large reception rooms. The estate spans 64 hectares, including forests, agricultural land, and old vineyards. All these elements combine charm and authenticity, characteristics of historic properties in the Périgord region. Among the countless gems that the Dordogne has to offer, there are numerous mills. The one I'm talking to you about is located in the Périgord Noir, 30 minutes from essential sites such as Beynac, Castelnaud la Chapelle, Domme, La Roque Gageac, etc... You will have to drive 150 km to get to Bordeaux or Toulouse, 100 km to reach Brive. The history of this building complex of approximately 250 m2 begins at the end of the 18th century. Three generations of mills then followed one another until 1850. A first element leaning against the rock houses a workshop, a cellar, boiler room, storage, etc. A second element, composed of a large bedroom, office and amenities, adjoining the home, but independent, could be intended to receive your friends or as a tourist lodge. Finally, the home on 3 levels with a living room of more than 90 m2 and castle volumes. Mezzanine, office, 2 bedrooms, large convertible attic. Period fireplaces, stone sink complete an elegant and careful renovation. The property of approximately 8 ha in one piece is made up of equal parts meadows and woods. You will discover its bucolic pond, its 2 springs, several dry stone shelters, and a charming wooden barn. Note a remarkable reach in good condition with multiple entrances facing 2 streams. What we think: Once again Périgord keeps its promises... Water, but not too much, the charm of a building which saw the revolution, the magic of preserved nature!
