Born in London, designer Peter Dunham grew up in France, the UK, Spain and Morocco, drawing influences from these various countries and the people he met there, including Salvador Dali. As a student, he learned his trade from famous British decorator David Hicks before leaving old Europe to settle down in New York City. Ten years ago, he moved to Los Angeles. His European background has seduced countless movie stars forwhomhe does interior redecorating. In 2005, he launched his own fabric line and, late last year, he opened his Hollywood at Home store on La Cienega Blvd, a welcoming showroom which is also home to other designers. In Paris, Peter Dunham's works can be found at Holland and Sherry's professional showroom. "When you create spaces for people, you need to have a conversation with the house," says Dunham, who favours wicker ("the most poetic fabric") over all other materials.
