Halfway between Carcassonne and Narbonne, les Jardins de Saint-Benoît resort consists of 148 typical two-story country houses and 23 vintner's properties. The former have a terrace, a garden and up to three bedrooms, while the latter feature a private swimming-pool and up to five bedrooms. The estate was built on an 8-ha landscaped site with a view on the Corbieres mountain range. It was designed as an extension of the nearby village of Saint-Laurent-de-la-Cabrerisse. This pedestrianonly hideout includes a chef-owned restaurant run by Vincent Pujo, a wine-tasting bar, a café, a vaulted spa with an inner swimming-pool and a business centre. Activities for the whole family include cooking lessons, tours of the vineyards, gardening, massages, yoga, mountain biking, horseriding and tennis. The splendid Cathar ruins in the area are also a must-see.
