Creative director Éric Gizard has just opened his new offices in a bow-shaped space in the heart of a building designed by Gustave Eiffel, a natural destination for this demanding though quiet interior architect. After his graduation from École des Arts Appliqués Duperré, he developed his first projects, including the design of the small Habitat stores. He launched his agency, EGA (Éric Gizard Associés), in 1999. Named designer of the year 2005 at Maison & Objet's Now ! exhibition along with Andrée Putman, he went on to devise countless works for international brands such as Air France, the luxury Japanese cosmetics brand SK-II or Steiner. Recently, he worked on the interior design of the Novotel Munich Airport and the Novotel in Dinard. He says: “I’m not into an abundance of decorations. I love to simplify.” He also designs private properties and home holidays. He’ll soon introduce a new collection of furniture and zelliges terra cotta tiles that he designed for Morocco’s Aït-Manos, complete with a carpet for Toulemonde Bochart.
