It is a victorian villa which has had many incarnations over the years but we wanted to return it to a family home adapted for modern living whilst retaining the period aesthetic and character.” Which spaces do you find yourself gravitating to most, and why? “We spend most of our time in the kitchen/living area which is light and airy due to the orangery but with a cosy snug. We like to sit here and watch the birds in the garden. We have the sun on the back of the house all afternoon and in the summer we open the french doors to enjoy the garden. The property feels most magical at Christmas.
