luxury property with terrace for sale Almarza, Spain

Casa Fuerte de San Gregorio is an extraordinary historical complex located in Almarza, Soria, nestled in a privileged setting of nature and tranquility. Its origin dates back to 1461 when Diego de Medrano was authorized to construct this fortified house, later associated with a Dominican convent. Declared a National Monument in 1949 and a Cultural Heritage Site in 1980, the property features an imposing Gothic-style fortified house, a Renaissance church, and cloister. The main building, with a square plan and organized around a central courtyard, retains notable defensive and ornamental elements, including battlements, circular towers, stone-carved gargoyles, and the Medrano coat of arms. The church, currently deconsecrated, has a Latin cross plan, a nave with ribs, a large dome, a monumental facade, a polychrome choir, and a medieval baptismal font. The cloister, with arcaded galleries and traditional cobblestone pavement, completes an architecturally singular ensemble of enormous heritage value. Carefully restored and equipped, Casa Fuerte de San Gregorio offers unique spaces for weddings, private celebrations, corporate events, institutional functions, and audiovisual productions. The complex also includes two independent rural houses, with a combined capacity for fourteen guests, enhancing its accommodation and operational possibilities. The sale includes the entirety of the architectural complex and 36 hectares of adjacent lands, providing privacy, breadth, and an exceptional natural setting. An unrepeatable property where history, architecture, nature, and business potential come together to offer a truly unique investment opportunity.
