Bastide Saint-Pierre-de-Vassols (84)
Vaucluse, Mont Ventoux, Lord and Sons offers for sale the main part of this former hunting lodge dating from the 17th century. This magnificent property of approximately 300m2 of living space will seduce you with its charm and authenticity well preserved by the owners. The French ceilings, the vaults, the stone staircases, its intimate interior courtyard and the omnipresent stone create a unique atmosphere. The building offers three dwellings with their own entrance and terraces. The main part offers a large Provençal kitchen (28m2), a double living room (57m2), eight bedrooms, a bathroom, four shower rooms, a large office and a laundry room. Two small gîtes (28m2 - 25m2) and a garage (28m2) are separate. The bastide is located on land of approximately 4000m2, several terraces suround the property. Some work to update the property to be planned (or not to keep the spirit of Marcel Pagnol). Bastide L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (84)
A luminous 260 m² forest house with swimming pool and over 1 ha of grounds in the heart of the woodlands of the Vaucluse Mountains. Probably a former forester's house, the dwelling was built at the end of the 19th century on the edge of a municipal or state-owned forest to house a forest ranger and his family. This type of lodge was once owned by the state or the local authority, but they were then progressively sold to private owners throughout the 20th century. There was no precise architectural model for these constructions; their layouts varied according to the region in which they were located and the needs of their occupants. The property is situated to the south of the village, on a hill predominantly planted with pine and oak trees. A noble two-leaf wrought iron openwork gate in the arched shape of an eyebrow, supported by two stone pillars, provides access to the property, possibly a remnant of an entrance to a larger forest estate. A driveway crossing the pine forest from the north-east provides access to an area destined for parking cars. Starting with a modest forester's house, the successive extensions have over time created a proper family home. Several parts of the building follow the sloping ground, so that there are two major differences in level within the dwelling. Set in the heart of 1.19 hectares of well-tended woodland, the main building is itself surrounded by vast terraces of stone from local quarries and a 5 x 7 m south-facing swimming pool. The house has been designed to let the light flood in throughout, providing the whole family with moments of relaxation and leisure in absolute tranquillity, only interrupted by the sound of birdsong. On the whole, everything in the house reflects the fact that here, as in most Provence houses, people lived outdoors most of the time. At once an open-air cabin and a warm refuge from the rigours of winter, the interior, with its many windows, successfully achieves the feat of being as bright as the exterior.

Bastide Maubec (84)
Dino Maurizi , your Comptoir Immobilier de France real estate advisor, offers you: in the charming village of Maubec, this majestic stone bastide dating from 1866 offering 344 m2 on 3 levels to be restored according to your needs, on a fully enclosed plot of 1,450 m2, planted with olive trees. Currently, only the first floor (about 115 m2) is habitable and includes a living room with open kitchen, three beautiful bedrooms, a bathroom and a shower room. The garden level and the second floor are to be developed with incredible potential and the possibility of having a total of 7 or 8 bedrooms on the floors and a substantial living space on the garden level. The roof of the house had been redone and insulated a few years ago. Located in the heart of the village and therefore in an urban area concerning the town planning regulations, this bastide will receive without any problem the necessary authorizations to regain its former glory as well as the possibility of installing a swimming pool, a pool house and possibly a garage or shed. This flexibility would also allow the creation of a reception activity (guest rooms) or even a restaurant, or quite simply a large family home. Notice to lovers of old stones, this type of property has become extremely rare to find...
