In Forcalquier, not far from its renowned market, facing the gorges of Verdon and the plateau of Valensole, lies this Provençal bastide that was born in 1850, covering 350 m², set on 4 hectares in a dominant position of orderly nature where man has planted olive trees and truffle oaks. Here, there are no direct neighbors, only the song of cicadas, the light of Haute-Provence, and an unobstructed view of the hills and surrounding countryside. You can experience the art of living in country homes: meals under the trees, the scent of freshly pressed oil, evenings by the fireplace, and days spent lounging around the pool. The owners have discovered numerous truffles and harvested over 600 kg of olives to produce your own oil to share and offer to your guests, as this house is a place to gather generations and friends. The air-conditioned house, wrapped in its 50 cm thick stone walls, offers 5 bedrooms, outbuildings, and a caretaker's house that can become a reception house. Each space has been designed for hosting, reuniting, and fully enjoying the sweetness of the south. The roof spaces of the house have been insulated. Located just 45 minutes from Aix-en-Provence and its TGV station, and less than two hours from the nearest ski resorts, this property combines the absolute tranquility of the countryside with proximity to major cities. I present to you the more secretive and intimate Provence of Giono, not the more extravagant and crowded one of Pagnol.
