House with terrace Bod (Romania)
The settlement known today as Bod has its first documentary evidence around 1211, the archaeological records of life found here dating back to the Neolithic. After the Cumans invaded the village for several times, in 1241 it was conquered and burned down by the Tartars, this being the reason why the Saxon gave it the name ‘’Brenndorf’’, which means ‘’the burned village’’. Being just 16 km away from the center of Brasov (10 km from the ring road), Bod is easily accessible, which makes it a favorite target for both the idea of a permanent residence and a holiday home in the proximity of Brasov. The house has a typical Saxon architecture and the current owners have been extremely careful with the renovation process, following mainly two things: on one hand to preserve its character and historical charm, and on the other hand to add all the comfort and facilities necessary for the modern man today. The property consists of 2 houses, with a total of 848 sqm of build area, both completely renovated to a high quality standard. The main house dates back to the early 19th century, as shown by the inscription ‘’1803’’ on one of the solid oak beams, and was built in the specific style of that time, with thick, massive walls and high rooms. The original elements of the house were carefully restored, such as the large solid wood cabinets or the brick arches in the basement. The basement is empty, renovated and clean and can be used as a wine cellar or a spa. The ground floor s rather the living area of the house, with a beautiful and fully equipped kitchen, a dining room, a large, bright and extremely welcoming living room and a well-equipped fitness room that includes a mini-spa with sauna and a shower. The master bedroom can be found upstairs, along with an en-suite bathroom, a dressing and a large terrace that offers a dreamy view over the mountain ridges and also 2 more bedrooms, a bathroom, a desk and a lounge area where you can read or relax in front of the TV. The other house is actually an apartment, where a kitchen, a bathroom, a living room and a bedroom can be found, all of them being fully equipped and tastefully furnished. The 31sqm basement here can also have a useful function, depending on the future destination that the house will receive. The courtyard is completely landscaped with stone, lawn and ornamental shrubs, the automatic irrigation system serving both the inner courtyard and the back garden. The courtyard is also completed with a dining area and a BBQ. Behind the property’s stone walls is a garden that can be used voluntarily by the future owners. The electrically operated gates, the surveillance system with video cameras and the super-efficient heating system complete the comfort and safety need of the modern man, while the stove and the firepit will bring everyone together around the joyos wooden fire in the winter nights. The property enjoys easy access to and from Brasov, and also the newly opened International Airport in Ghimbav is only minutes away offering a quick connection with the world.

House with terrace Bucharest (Romania)
In a Bucharest of high hopes, fueled by the end of the First World War, Dr. Ion Moscu was constructing his house, on a land bought from the Catargi family. Doctor Ion Moscu was a leading personality of the time, being the first Romanian doctor trained in Paris, doctor of the Patriarch of Romania and of the Royal House. The architectural plans of his house were made by the famous architect Gh. Simotta, who sketched a splendid Neo-Romanian style building. Gheorghe Simotta (1891-1979) was born into a family of Aromanians from the mountains of Macedonia and took refuge with his family in Romania after graduating high school. He attended the Superior School of Architecture under the guidance of masters Petre Antonescu and Ermil Pangratti. His more than 120 projects are from the inter-war period and are mostly found in Bucharest: the Patriarchal Residence, Darvari Hermitage, Gomoiu Hospital and numerous private villas, collective dwellings and funerary monuments in Bellu cemetery. His early style is based on Neo-Romanian elements, to which are gradually added modernist, Art Deco, Balkan resonances or influences of Byzantine decorative art. The restrictions imposed by the communist regime made him abandon his design activity and serve for 30 years as a professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Bucharest. After a meticulous rehabilitation, modernization and restoration project that lasted about three years, Moscu's building in the heart of the Capital became a veritable boutique hotel. The downtown location and architectural value imposed the concept of boutique hotel. Currently, it has ten rooms with generous surfaces (25-40 sqm) and a 90 sqm apartment, some of them equipped with balcony or loggia. Each room is furnished differently, according to the history and architecture of the building. The furniture in classic style is complemented by pieces with styles from different eras: Ludovic XV, Art Nouveau, Biedermeier or Empire. For the finishing of the precious interiors, solid wood, Versailles parquet and marble were used. Moscu's building represents the opportunity to own an architectural jewel in the center of Little Paris, signed by a famous architect, who already functions successfully as a luxury hotel, with loyal guests and a specialized team, well trained to offer an impeccable service for notable clients. Property with garden Bucharest (Romania)
Built by Italian stonemasons following the plans of three architects (George Sterian, H. Rick and Nicolae Ghica-Budești), the casino was erected in 1892-1894, thus being the first casino in Romania. It was quickly followed by casinos in Vatra Dornei (1898), Constanța (1910) and Sinaia (1912), all part of King Carol I's strategy to develop Romanian resorts after the model of more famous ones abroad (Slănic-Moldova was compared at the time to Karlovy Vary and Vichy, its mineral springs being awarded at international exhibitions in Paris, Frankfurt, Vienna). Although it is not an example of pure Art Nouveau, the casino in Slănic-Moldova manages to combine this dynamic and functional style with principles from other currents with surprising results. The decorative stone elements and the door and window frames come from the secular Neo-Romanian, but the towers are of Eastern religious architecture. Other elements are reminiscent of Neo-Renaissance correspondences - for example the symmetry of the composition and the painted decorative panels. The construction is arranged horizontally on UG + GF + 1F following the rules of perfect symmetry - a main building guarded by two towers connected to two other lower-rise buildings with covered corridors that function as terraces; the long row finishes with two pavilions that resume through the round roofs the idea of the main towers. Seen from a distance, the casino resembles a castle perched on a hillside, a slightly romantic, peaceful profile, with a discreet poetry enveloping it at dusk. In autumn, the forest in the distance lends it a bit of its leave’s auburne, winter dresses it all in white. However, from the front, it is obviously a building dedicated to community life - the platform with arched columns and a monumental stone staircase leaves no room for doubt, just as its location with the beautiful central park at the foot does not deny this either. After decades of listening to the sound of dice, spinning roulette and French Les jeux sont faits, rien ne va plus, witnessing the making of fortunes and the dissolution of marriages, the casino became a good citizen in 1948, functioning as a House of Culture, then performance hall, city library, art gallery and other public functions. The cinema functioned in the original hall with 350 seats, which today amazes us with its two colors - the white of the walls decorated with ton sur ton woodwork and the amber of the velvety chairs and curtains. The hall is still a jewel with its shell-based lodges, lacy arches and a chandelier, unfortunately not the original one, mounted on a rich ceiling decorated with a glass skylight captive in metal embroidery. Over time, the building has received two more terraces, a brasserie and a boarding house since 1960, and has undergone renovation and restoration work in the 1980s and 1994s and 1994s. Outside, street lamps guard the building in the typical Art Nouveau language - black wrought iron with gold accents and white glass bulbs like flower buds. Thanks to the spectacular architectural project and restoration works, the casino appears today vibrant, lively, dynamic, bold and not old or lethargic like, unfortunately, many other historical monuments of the time. Today, the casino is looking for its visionary owner who will exploit its tourist potential and give it back that joie de vivre that positioned it at the beginning of the 19th century as a symbol of Slănic-Moldova and beyond. Area attractions: - Nemira ski slope - mountain trails and hikes - Three hundred steps, Uzului Valley, Nemira Mare, etc. - salt mine from Târgu Ocna - Măgura Ocnei monastery - Valea Uzului dam Photo: Tudor Prisecaru

Villa with terrace Breaza (Romania)
There’s a Romanian saying that holds each individual accountable for planting a tree, having a child and building a house during a lifetime, only the road is not strainght for everyone. Sometimes we trim trees planted by other hands, raise children with different DNA and make ours houses originally designed for other families. In the case of the house, this order of things can be a blessing in disguise - between dream and reality, between the drawing board and the final quote, syncopes, derailments and communication errors can happen so that the final result is accepted with regret, assimilated with embarrassment because it constantly reminds us the failure to translate imagination into practice. Having a ready-made house has the advantage of showing you first hand how it solve d one challenge or another, how it negotiated space and light, volume and comfort, concrete and turf. It's easy to feel its atmosphere, to qualify the vibe and evaluate what can be done to make it home moulded to your needs and expectations. For those who do not have the courage, time or energy to harness a building site buying a ready-to-move-in house offers instant gratification. A property with 1320 sqm of land, 7 rooms and an outdoor gazebo located in Breaza offers exactly this opportunity. It can be easily turned into a blank canvas for you to sketch whatever works for your family. The generous windows surfaces invite light inside and guide the gaze outwards to the distant mountains. A generous living room gathers the family around a board game or the friends for taste of the local brandy (for another local product, Breaza bulz, a visit to a nearby tourist sheepfold is recommended). The bedrooms have a comfortable size and the bathrooms have walk-in showers. With a serene atmosphere, surrounded by the green carefully manicured lawn, the property is ready for you, or your designer, to choose styles, color ranges and textures. Breaza (whose name seems to come from Slavic and refers either to a shepherdess with a white strand in her black hair or to a birch forest) is one of the oldest spas being certified since 1928. Its air purity was compared to the one in the Swiss resort of Davos. Although located on a popular route to the mountain resorts of Sinaia, Predeal and Poiana Brasov, Breaza has the advantage of being outside the crowded section that starts from Comarnic onwards. This makes access from Bucharest easy and a holiday home here becomes a destination for every weekend. Activities and attractions in the area: • Brâncoveanu Park with secular trees • 23km long bike and hiking trails, duration 5 hours • Golf • Horse riding • Șotrile seabuckthorn and berries festival • Spa and spa treatments for dermatological, cardiological and respiratory diseases

House with terrace Bucharest (Romania)
Historic house with neo-Romanian style architecture, located between the Căderea Bastiliei and Calea Dorobantilor, built in 1911 according to the plans of the engineer Athanasie Bolintineanu, to serve as his residence. Athanasie Bolintineanu was a descendant by alliance of the famous Bolintineanu family, represented by the poet and diplomat Dimitrie Bolintineanu. As chief engineer of Bucharest City Hall, Athanasie Bolintineanu coordinated the development of boulevards Elisabeta, Carol I and the construction of the Capital City Hall headquarters in front of Cișmigiu Park. He laid the foundations of the first cement factory in Romania, then called the Bolintineanu Brothers Factory. The house of engineer Bolintineanu is represented by an imposing building with ample elements of neo-Romanian architecture, concentrated both on the facades of the house and on the interior in the most important rooms, built on a plot of 1,725 square meters and arranged on a basement, semi-basement, upper ground floor and attic. Its massive presence is given especially by the ratio between full and empty, very well emphasized by the windows of the rooms on the ground floor placed on either side of the gazebo that occupies the central position. The gazebo is decorated with circular medallions, grouped in the free space left by three columns, decorated in turn with floral capitals. The covered terrace in the south-west corner of the house also has a pronounced decorative character, with wooden pillars carved with motifs inspired by folk architecture. The other sides of the house have a much more sober architecture, the only decorative elements being the stone plinth, the wooden lintel inlaid with folk motifs and the borders of the openings on the ground floor. The building benefits from four access ways, two of which are on the main facade and one each on the east and west sides. In addition to the distinctive architectural style, another important element of attraction of this property is the potential for future development by extending the building to the rear, with the possibility of it being converted into an apartment complex that combines the current historical style with the modern one. , in a privileged area of Bucharest. The town of Şomcuta Mare is located in the south-western part of Maramureș County, connected to the European road E58, Baia Mare - Cluj Napoca, at a distance of 25 km from Baia Mare. The popular tradition says that the name of Șomcuta Mare springs from the cornel shrubs that were found in abundance in these places, that once gave the name of the forest near Văleni village – Corneasa. Regarding this forest, it is said that it stretched over the borders of Şomcuta Mare and that, in the middle of it, there used to be a fountain, around which the community developed. From the first history records, it is shown that Șomcuta Mare had a predominantly Romanian population. This is proven by all the evidence that has been preserved in this regard about the Chioar Domain – where Șomcuta Mare was a part of. One of the historical monuments in Șomcuta Mare, this imposing building was built by the Austro-Hungarian State, between 1880 and 1890, to function as the Chiorean Commercial Bank, the first bank in the area. Currently, the building is connected to all utilities and services: gas, electricity, water supply and drainage. A few years ago, more precisely in 2003, the building had its roof and windows replaced, thus carrying out an important renovation process. Arranged on the following floor system: lower ground + ground floor + first floor + attic, this building provides that investment that you have always been looking for: its positioning and layout represent potential for various developments. It can bring many further exciting opportunities, starting from the industrial production ones to commercial ones. The building can function efficiently as a hotel, restaurant, kindergarten, school or nursing home. It accommodates 37 rooms and 5 bathrooms, with a pragmatic planning. Photo: Florin Pepene
