In the Condroz region of Wallonia, a mansion dating from 1834 surrounded by a romantic park designated a “Remarkable .... Around 1840, a gardener named Louis Fuchs planted an araucaria, a few cedars, and a ginkgo biloba here, likely without realizing that he was committing the estate to a future that would far outlive him. Nearly two centuries later, these trees still stand, having become remarkable in the truest sense of the word.
