Castle Belleau (54)
A listed chateau in the Nancy countryside, rebuilt by Georges Biet and decorated by Louis Guingot, members of the École de Nancy. The origins of the chateau go back to the 17th and 18th centuries. During the First World War, the entire central part of the building was destroyed, with the exception of the two corner towers. In the aftermath of the war, the edifice was rebuilt with the help of architect Georges Biet, who designed many of Nancy's residences in the Art Nouveau style associated with the École de Nancy. Louis Guingot, a painter, decorator and founding member of the same school, was commissioned to decorate the magnificent reception room. The property comprises four independent buildings. Two 18th-century lodges mark the entrance. To the right, former stables, garages and outhouses have largely been converted into guest rooms and a leisure area with a covered spa. The chateau in the centre has a T-shaped floor plan. Its central section, facades and roofs are listed in the French inventory of historic monuments. The surrounding grounds of around 2 hectares are planted with large trees and include an orchard.

House Custines (54)
Situated 15 minutes from Nancy and 40 minutes from Metz, nestled in the woods, this 640 m² (6,640 sq ft) property is steeped in history and is set in more than 4 hectares (10 acres) of parkland overlooking the confluence of the Moselle and Meurthe rivers. Occupied by illustrious families of the Lorraine nobility, it originated as a hamlet dating from the 16th century. Over the centuries, the hamlet disappeared, leaving only the castle and a fortified farm. The latter was entirely restored in the 17th century. The evolution of its architecture over the centuries makes it a true witness to the history of the region. In addition to its woodwork and fireplaces, you can admire magnificent wrought iron doors, an authentic spiral staircase, Versailles floors and French ceilings. The property is accessed via a long driveway leading to an imposing gateway giving access to the courtyard, which is overlooked by a few mullioned windows. It leads to the main dwelling on one side and the outbuildings and former stables on the other. The ground floor comprises an entrance hall leading to a lounge, a billiard room, a kitchen, a shower room and a dining room opening directly on to the courtyard. On the first floor, on one side of the central staircase, are the ceremonial rooms with a double reception room and its desecrated chapel. On the other side, the former master bedrooms with their magnificent carved wooden alcoves and painted woodwork. On the top floor, formerly dedicated to the servants, there are several bedrooms and a bathroom. Lovers of old stones will be seduced by this unique place. Its layout and geographical location make it easy to envisage a hotel or event activity. Energy class : virgin / Climate class : virgin Contact : Valentine 06.63.32.39.79
