On the edge of the Alpilles Regional Natural Park lies a privileged place. Spectacular, unique, and refined, a castle gradually reveals its true soul, its mysteries, and an extraordinary history. The origins of the estate, spanning over 5 hectares, date back to the 1st century AD, as evidenced by a magnificent Roman tower. Formerly owned by a noble family, the building proudly displays its Renaissance-style facade and its evolution through the centuries, from the Middle Ages to the 18th century. Extremely rare, a charming 19th-century consecrated chapel patiently awaits its next wedding behind its majestic bronze doors. Wandering through its grounds, populated by centuries-old trees, one discovers a swimming pool set apart from the château, a formal French garden, a vast, secluded parking area, and numerous outbuildings and hidden corners… The view is splendid, especially from the rooftop where one can admire a 360° panorama, reminiscent of Tuscany: the Alpilles mountain range, Arles and the Luma Tower, Montmajour Abbey, the Canal de la Vallée des Baux-de-Provence, and the Provençal countryside in all its splendor. This exceptional property is also remarkable for its location: 17 minutes from the Arles TGV station, 30 minutes from the Avignon TGV station, 20 minutes from Les Baux-de-Provence, 24 minutes from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, and 15 minutes from the Les Baux-de-Provence golf course (Domaine de Manville). The property lends itself to numerous possibilities: a luxury hotel and spa with a gourmet restaurant and bistro; event venues (weddings, seminars, receptions, cultural events, outdoor and sports activities, etc.); a high-end wellness or treatment center… or other possibilities according to your desires and dreams. Note that a building permit has been approved to extend the castle. This will allow for a floor area exceeding 2,500 m². This Sleeping Beauty awaits Prince Charming to continue the story… Your contact for this property: Adley LINQUE at +33 6 62 32 22 88.

The “Mas de la Brune”, a listed, Renaissance-style gem, its 4 ha of parklands and its gardens at the foot of the Alpilles mountains in Eygalières. At the end of a row of two-hundred-year-old horse chestnut trees, three interconnected constructions comprise the buildings on this predominantly wooded, 4-ha property. The first is the Renaissance-style manor house, known as the “Mas de la Brune”, constructed in 1572; the only building of this type, standing in the middle of the land, rising up like a nave, proudly showing visitors the prow of its watch-turret. Directly adjoining the manor, a more recent construction dating from the 18th century stands in the shade of a three-hundred-year-old lime tree. This building once housed the staff accommodation. And lastly, on the east side, where a perimeter wall no doubt once existed, a rehabilitated farmhouse is separated from the manor by a row of cypress trees. Opening on to a vast courtyard that extends behind the French formal garden, it acts as a link with the rest of the parklands, where the permanent singing of the precious water, coming down from the Alpilles Mountains via the canal of the same name, can be heard. The French Historic Monument listing, dating from the 9 August 1924, applies solely to the “Mas de la Brune”, already showing on Cassini’s 18th century map under the name of “Grand Mas”. Some say it was constructed for the consul Pierre-Bruno-Isnard, who gave it the feminine version of his surname, whilst others maintain it was for an alchemist, whose name is long forgotten. In both cases, this outstanding building, entirely constructed from Baux stone, was probably built by master mason, Gaston-Flayelle, native of the Vivarais region, who also designed the “Hôtel de Manville” in Les-Baux-de-Provence. The size of the manor house, its biblical paraphrases sculpted on the façade, like a big open book, and including the secret number of steps of its spiral stairway tend to reinforce the hypothesis of an alchemist’s home. A spacious tiled swimming pool, cleverly concealed from onlookers in a copse of laurel bushes, has been installed a good distance from the main house. And lastly, a carpark, out of sight of the manor but able to take ten or so cars, has been laid out in the shade of mulberry plane trees.

In the heart of the Gard region, this château, whose origins date back to the 11th century, overlooks the Gardon gorges between Uzès and the Pont du Gard. The village enchants with its golden stone façades, its immediate proximity to the river, and an atmosphere where nature seems to advance in a silent procession. Paths leading to the Hermitage of Collias, water-based activities, protected panoramic landscapes, and the proximity of major cultural centres give the site a strong identity: discreet, yet perfectly connected. Less than 30 minutes from Nîmes and 40 minutes from Avignon, the château enjoys a strategic position at the heart of a major heritage territory. Built around an 11th-century tower and shaped over the centuries, the residence bears witness to the great eras it has passed through. In the 15th century, it belonged to the Montpezat family, before being restructured in the 18th century by the Marquis de La Chapelle, who gave it the enduring form we see today. The estate is now composed of three historic entities: – a 17th-century wing, – an 18th-century wing, – and the medieval tower, carefully reinterpreted through successive restorations. A masterful renovation has restored the château to its former splendour, blending living heritage with contemporary standards of excellence. With nearly 2,000 sqm of living space, the property offers majestic volumes, perfectly suited to either a grand private residence or a prestigious hotel project. The estate extends over almost 2 hectares, featuring a succession of terraces, themed gardens, woodland areas, landscaped perspectives and open views. The château offers a total of 19 bedrooms, arranged into three complementary ensembles: • 8 rooms integrated into the 5-Star hotel, all restored to the highest standards: generous volumes, noble materials, views over the park or surrounding hills, and a refined atmosphere. • 3 independent guest rooms, perfectly integrated into the estate and offering welcome privacy. With appropriate compliance upgrades, they could be incorporated into the hotel operation to increase accommodation capacity. - 3 apartments, each with its own distinct character, complete the ensemble. These units offer multiple possibilities: high-end suites, staff accommodation, private spaces, or premium lodging dedicated to an ambitious hospitality project. - A fourth apartment to be fitted out could also be converted into staff accommodation. A dedicated area of the estate could also accommodate a SPA, offering significant development potential to enhance the wellness offering already initiated by the existing facilities. Common areas and gastronomy: Bright lounges, vaulted rooms, reception spaces and well-balanced circulation areas form a fluid and elegant whole. Stone, wood and handcrafted ironwork harmoniously interact with a sober and carefully curated contemporary décor. “L’Hirondelle”, the château’s gastronomic restaurant, is a true signature of the property. Here, a Chef can celebrates local produce with confident creativity. Its panoramic terrace overlooks the hillside and gardens, forming a living tableau that accompanies every service. Outdoor spaces: The private park, thoughtfully designed, unfolds English-style gardens, a rose garden, tree-lined paths, a traditional kitchen garden and naturally shaded areas. A discreetly integrated swimming pool and ornamental basins complete this landscaped oasis of rare character. Our view: This estate brings together everything one expects from an exceptional property: an illustrious history, a multi-layered architecture perfectly restored, an operational 5-star hotel, a renowned gastronomic restaurant, and a flexible accommodation capacity thanks to guest rooms and apartments. The possibility of creating a SPA adds an additional dimension, opening the way to a high-end wellness concept. The harmony between architecture, nature and perspective gives the property an almost sculptural coherence. Château de Collias is not merely a setting, but a stage ready to host an ambitious project, a private residence or a characterful hotel. A rare address, crafted for those seeking the alliance of heritage and contemporary excellence.

BARNES Montpellier presents this château, whose origins date back to the 11th century. Organized around its imposing keep, the property has been enriched over the centuries through various extensions added during the 17th and 18th centuries. The restoration undertaken in recent years has been carried out with exceptional care, with all work completed in full respect of the property's history and architectural heritage. Notably, a renowned Italian painter was commissioned to recreate period decorative features, including painted ceilings and historic frescoes. Offering approximately 1,729 sqm of living space (2,050 sqm of total floor area), the château now provides substantial accommodation capacity with nearly 19 bedrooms. The hospitality operation is centered around 18 suites, including 8 incorporated within a 5-star hotel configuration, complemented by a Michelin-starred restaurant, a professional kitchen, and high-end amenities. The property's hotel classification remains valid through 2028. All restoration work—including paintings, frescoes, antique tiling, and heritage features—was entrusted to highly regarded craftsmen and specialists, with a constant focus on preserving the authenticity and historic character of the estate. The property is set within approximately 2 hectares (5 acres) of landscaped grounds, part of which was designed by the renowned landscape architect Bélanger. Nearly 2,000 trees were also planted throughout the estate in 2019. The grounds feature a swimming pool, a meadow enhanced by a rose garden, a vegetable garden, and several relaxation areas. Two additional sections of the property remain available for development. Technical infrastructure, including electrical systems and drainage connections, has already been installed, allowing for a variety of potential projects such as additional guest rooms, a wellness spa, fitness center, private cinema, or any other use suited to the property's future operation. A comprehensive renovation program has been carried out from 2019 to the present day, including the complete refurbishment of the roof and structural reinforcement of the south façade. Technical installations meet modern standards of comfort and efficiency, including ducted air conditioning throughout the château, a heat pump system, mains water connection, public sewer connection, a private borehole, and an automatic irrigation system. The château is fully compliant with accessibility requirements for persons with reduced mobility (PRM) and is equipped with an elevator as well as all required fire safety systems. The former hotel operation has now been replaced by a short-term rental business. The property may be acquired furnished or unfurnished. A Category IV liquor license (Licence IV) may also be transferred separately. Carefully renovated, this exceptional property combines the charm of the old with modern functionality. This property can appeal to a family that will convert the reception rooms into real living spaces: large living room/library/billiard room... or luxury guest rooms. It is also ideal for hosting a bridal suite with the bride's entrance via the staircase leading down to the reception hall on the garden level. For your private or professional receptions, three magnificent reception rooms (exposed beams, stone walls, large bay windows, different atmospheres). A sleeping area with a shower room for a caretaker, for example. A kitchen with catering access. PMR sanitary facilities. In the landscaped and shaded park with centenary plane trees, a traditional swimming pool. Two possible entrances via a beautiful driveway in total intimacy. A strong event potential (weddings, high-end seminars, exhibitions, tea dancing...). 'Its monumental entrance with its sculpted pediment and delicate bas-reliefs testifies to the know-how of the Provençal builders of the 19th century. Every architectural detail, from the wrought iron balcony to the chiselled cornices, gives it a particular charm. The winged figures open the massive oak door under a stone arch, a beautiful place to receive the wishes of the newlyweds on the steps of the castle.' This elegant residence would suit both an individual looking for an extraordinary living space and an investor (event planning, guest rooms, second residence...). Immediate proximity to the charming villages of Vaucluse (L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Châteauneuf-du-Pape...).This description has been automatically translated from French.
