Welcome to White Way Mountain House, an Aspen-inspired log and post-and-beam mountain retreat set ski-in, ski-off on the White Way Trail at Windham Mountain. Spanning 5,532 square feet across three levels, this five-bedroom, seven-bath chalet was designed for the full mountain living experience: two wood-burning stone fireplaces, radiant heat throughout, a dedicated ski and boot room with heated floors and boot racks, a game room with bar, a wine cellar, and multiple Ipe Brazilian wood decks with fire pits overlooking the Catskill peaks. Every bedroom is ensuite and opens to a private balcony with mountain views; the primary suite commands a grand private balcony with a firepit and unobstructed western sunset vistas. Equal parts cherished retreat and income-generating rental property, this robust four season home is one of Windham Mountain's most sought-after slopeside addresses. The entry opens to a hand-crafted log staircase rising to the main living room, where 11-foot ceilings and a double-sided stone fireplace warm both the living area and the kitchen sitting nook. The kitchen is equipped for serious cooking: two Bosch ovens, Viking refrigerator, Viking dishwasher, and Viking wine cooler, with generous granite counter space and an eat-in area warmed by the second face of the fireplace. A dining area and a library/den, easily converted to a bedroom, complete the main level. Rough-sawn wood floors run throughout. One bedroom on the main floor looks directly onto the slopes. Two bunkrooms on the upper level, each with custom built-in bunks, share that same slopeside exposure; a third bedroom captures the same mountain views. The primary suite occupies its own level: French doors open to a grand private balcony where a firepit glows against the western sky and the Catskill peaks catch the last light of the day. A jacuzzi tub, double sinks, and views of the valley complete the bath. Every bedroom opens to a Juliet balcony; the mountain is always in view. The lower level opens directly to the mountain. A ski and boot room with radiant-heated floors and heated boot racks leads out to the White Way Trail. The family room features a wood-burning fireplace, wet bar, Viking wine cooler, foosball table, card table, and pool table. A wine cellar, full bath, and attached one-car garage complete the level.Multiple Ipe Brazilian wood decks wrap the exterior, fire pits ready for the aprs-ski hour and long summer evenings alike. A back deck is wired for a hot tub. In winter, the mountain is outside the door; in summer, the same decks catch the evening light above the Catskill forest. A whole-house propane generator, Nest thermostats on each floor with individual bedroom controls, surround sound inside and out, and a security system complete the infrastructure. Cedar siding, shakes, stone, and log construction give the exterior its mountain character. In winter, the White Way Trail deposits you at the top of some of the longest skiable runs in the Catskills. When the snow melts, Windham Mountain Club is open for golf, spa, fitness, and dining. Hiking and swimming at North-South Lake, mountain biking, and the breadth of the Catskill Preserve carry the seasons forward. The village of Windham is a short walk away with restaurants, bars, and a seasonal farmers market. Hunter Mountain is about twenty minutes west; Catskill, Hudson, and the Berkshires are each within easy reach. White Way Mountain House lives equally well in every season.
