The traditional thick, rough-hewn stone and white mortar exterior reflects the hot summer sun, helping to keep the interior cool. Inside, appearances can be deceiving. Although the dark beams, terra cotta tile floors, and other rustic touches appear to be original to the structure, they are carefully chosen upgrades made with local materials, designed to maintain the ageless provincial feel of the area. The main villa contains two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and fireplaces, and a third `meditation` room with its own fireplace and a fold-down couch that can be converted to a third bedroom. An additional study with fireplace and a sun room comprise the remainder of the upstairs level, while the main floor contains a spacious living room with fireplace, a family room with large screen TV, dining room, pantry, bathroom with a washer/dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen with an additional dining table. The main villa together with the guest house and the guest rooms can accomodate up to 12 people.
