Nowadays Lefkada is connected to the mainland by a floating bridge and is thus easily accessible at all times. It is a beautiful island, with some of the best white sandy beaches of Europe. It has a luxurious vegetation of mostly pine and olive trees. The island is the biggest wine producer of the Ionian Islands. Known by watersports lovers for its fantastic wind- and kitesurfing spots, its marina, the diving, fishing, etc…, Lefkada offers everything for an active or a relaxing holiday. Culture and history are available on the island and on the archaeological sites nearby on the mainland. The quite mountainous interior of the island, the highest point is at 1150m, is ideal for hiking, biking, or just driving around by car. Olive groves, pine trees, donkeys and goats and small traditional hidden villages await you here. For those of you who prefer a more relaxing holiday, plenty of beaches, beach bars, restaurants etc… are at your disposal. The colours of the surrounding nature, the different shades of blue of the sea, … just looking at it while you are sipping an ouzo or a glass of local wine with some mezzedes is what makes your holiday here a success. This amazing villa is located in Kathisma, right top of one of the best beached of the island, to which you can just walk down. The town of Lefkada is about 15km away. The nearest-by village is Agios Nikitas, at about 2 km. Here you can find restaurants, bars, shops and small supermarkets. It is a very animated village.The villa has 6 bedrooms each with private bathroom. Divided into 2 separate floors, the villa can cater for parties up to 12 persons. A huge sun terrace with private pool overlooks the white sandy beach of Kathisma. There is an al-fresco dining area with exterior kitchen. Pool loungers around the pool for sunbathing and settees in shaded areas complete the exterior.The ground floor has 1 twin bedroom with en-suite shower room and access to the pool terrace, 1 double bedroom with en-suite shower room and 1 twin bedroom with separate bathroom with bubble bath. A large modern open kitchen is equipped with a freezer, fridge, ice maker, ceramic hob, microwave, double sink and dishwasher. The dining room can seat 12 persons and has direct access to the pool terrace.The first floor offers 1 twin bedroom with access to the terrace and with a separate shower room, 1double bedroom with en-suite shower room and 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bath tub. On this level you will find the saloon area with cosy settees, television and mini-bar. A big sun terrace overlooking the pool and turquoise waters of Kathisma beach complete this level. The entire house is air-conditioned/heated, and all windows have insect screens and shutters. Ferries from Ithaca and Keffalonia come straight to the island, in Vassiliki, about 1 hour drive from the villa.By plane :The nearest airport is Preveza/Aktio, located at about 30km from Lefkada. There are charter flights from most European countries from April through October. From here, you can either rent a car or take a taxi.By bus :From the Athens bus station, you can take a bus 4 times a day. The trip takes about 5 hours in a comfortable airconditioned coach.
