House Peisey-Nancroix (73)
Peisey Nancroix has the best of both worlds; small village supermarket, a butcher, a boulangerie, a bar and a restaurant, post office and library BUT it is also connected to the resort of Les Arcs via the new (winter 2027) high-speed cable car. The house is perfect for someone wanting the proximity to the ski resort but with year-round living even in the quiet inter season periods. Incredibly handy for people working or holidaying in Les Arcs, this property could generate rental income by using one of the two apartments as a home base and letting out the other. Ground floor apartment (31,76m² >1,80m) Living area of 15,69m² with fully fitted kitchen, space for large sofas and dining table with new flooring and exposed beams. The entrance (2,46m²) leads to the two rooms on this level as well as a small room with washing machine, tumble drier and hot water tank. The double bedroom (9,78m²) has original floorboards (insulated during the renovation) and exposed beams with an ensuite shower room with WC. There is a cellar underneath the floor on this level. First floor (33,95m² > 1,80m and 36,31m² in total) The entrance opens between the middle of the two rooms on this floor. To the right is the lounge (19,36m² habitable area, 21,72m² in total) which comes with a fireplace. This is not currently in use but could be reopened as the conduit still exists. The middle of the floor has the stairs to the upper floor as well as a storage cupboard. To the left of the entrance is the kitchen-diner (14,59m²); fully fitted kitchen with a window overlooking the garden as well as an internal window to the lounge. Beautifully renovated with lots of the original features; floorboards and exposed beams, large window and a cosy, farmhouse feel but, in the middle of the French Alps. Second floor (34m²) There is access to the 2,26m² balcony from this floor; enough space for a couple of chairs to enjoy the mountain air. The bedroom to the rear of the property is a generous 15,26m²; a fireplace, free-standing bathtub (there is an ensuite WC with handbasin), the same beautiful floorboards found throughout the property and large window over the garden make this the standout room of the house. Imagine waking up in the mountains with this space and comfort. The second bedroom is 11,32m² and has an ensuite shower room with WC. From the window you can see the mountains of La Plagne. Between the two bedrooms is the access to the roof space although this is currently used as storage space. Garden The garden leads off the kitchen and is large enough for outdoor dining in the warmer months. It has a small barn-type building with a couple of storage areas but the main part could be developed into a summer house, office space, sauna area….full of character and potential. The ski resort This summer sees the construction of a new high-speed cable car from the village. It replaces the old “lobster pots” lift, Lozagne, and will take skiers directly to Plan Peisey to access the pistes of Les Arcs or, via the Vanoise Express, the resort of La Plagne. From this central village, you have 425kms of pistes waiting to be explored. In summer, the mountains are buzzing with outdoor activities; mountain biking, walking, via ferrata and exploring the mountain trails of the Vanoise National Park. Access Peisey is a short drive from Landry TGV station and there are shuttle buses connecting the village to Landry as well as the ski resort and the nordic centre of Rosuel. Only 2-2.5 hours from Lyon or Geneva airport, this village is easily accessible by train or car.
